He hasn’t been taking it. Like Clinton, he has skipped any serious investigation with the claim of sealed records, but has been out there making inflammatory remarks about his accusers and basically setting himself up for a serious fall.
I think he’s lying, simply because he didn’t even admit the first cases (the employment settlements) until confronted with proof, and then he said he didn’t recall, and then he said, yes, they happened, but it wasn’t his fault and he didn’t know any of the details, and nobody had ever brought it up since 1998 or 99, when they happened. All this for something he had discussed in 2004 with his campaign manager in his failed Senate run.
And he has been making the entire GOP look like jerks. We can’t discuss issues because we want to know what “Hermy” (as I have seen some fans call him) was doing during his mid-life crisis in DC. Frankly, I don’t care, although the fact that his wife has not made one single statement of support may indicate that she knows better than we do.
But we have got to move beyond Cain and get to the issues. If he cared about the GOP, he could step out of the race for a week or so and deal with his personal problems while everybody else gets on with defeating Obama. And then if he has a good answer, he could come back, because his faithful would be here waiting for him.
Livius post is wishful thinking.....he’s not a Cain fan.
