I listened to Hugh Hewitt read from it on the way home from work this evening. He had a caller on air who was defending Joe Paterno. Hewitt announced on air that he was about to read from the report and pleaded that anyone who was squeamish or had children around to please turn off their radios. In the next 20 seconds, I became sick to my stomach. As the father of a seven-year-old, I filled with rage listening to the graphic account of a sexual assault on a boy only three years older than my son. To learn that this man was not stopped on the spot for doing what he did truly saddens me beyond repair. As someone else has already said, the entire campus should be burnt to the ground and bulldozed over. And all those who had knowledge of this but did nothing should spend the rest of their remaining lives in prison, so that they can learn firsthand what it was like for that ten-year-old boy.

I read almost all of it. I was sick to my stomach, and then enraged.

I have a son who is 20 now. The one most graphic account of an assault (Victim #2, I think) - was on a child the same age as my son - he is 20 now. I wonder what his life is like now. I wonder if he is even alive.

I wonder why that GA McSomethingorother did not DO ANYTHING to stop what was going on when he saw it right in front of him and even made eye contact with both. That makes me furious and yes, Joe Paterno should not have a job. Shame on him. Shame on all of them.

That just makes my blood boil. And there is part of me that is not surprised that an established institution has no problem making little problems disappear. Except this one did not go away. How awful. I am glad he is finally stopped. Those poor boys and young men. And their families.

Yes, no one is making anything up, these are facts in the grand jury trial.

Patrano was so arrogant that he thought he could dictate when he was going to leave.
