Rick Perry says eliminate 3 agencies, can’t name them

ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry says he would eliminate three federal agencies. Just don’t ask him to name them.

The Texas governor on Wednesday night struggled during a debate with his rivals and said he would nix the Commerce and Education departments. He drew a blank when the moderator asked what the third agency would be.

Perry previously has called on the elimination of the Energy Department.

Perry is only saying “oops” for drawing a blank on a favorite subject of criticism on the campaign trail.

He has struggled at previous debates and although he’s committed to four more, his advisers are considering skipping future ones.

"Rick Perry says eliminate 3 agencies, can’t name them"

Well maybe he is on to something and just got his terminology mixed up...

I'm thinking instead of three agencies we eliminate 3 branches: Executive, Legislative and Judicial and then start over...

Perry seems to exist in a parallel universe called "Rickville"........it's all about him 24/7.

He was the jovial, self-serving Perry on Fox and Friends this AM---still not recognizing his debate failure was one for the history books.....but grabbing the opportunity to pump his antidiluvean tax plan.

God knows how he'd screw up in the WH.

You can almost hear Perry saying with that goofy grin pasted on his craggy face:" I was an Air Force Pilot---pilots make mistakes---and that was a big one they made crashing into the WTC building. Pilot error, yup. That's what it was."

*** Well, the new telephone book has ONE thing going for it.....no postings of Rick Perry : ) ***

Now that's a good one.

But 'series', when I was a teen I did look through the new phone books (White and Yellow Pages). Mostly to see if any of my shi__y relatives moved. But one day I found something veeeery interesting, and in the White Pages no less. The CIA had an office in a downtown Chicago Federal Building, address and phone number listed.

So then I'm thinking what the heck is the CIA doing with a Chicago Branch Office?!? They ain't supposed to operate on U.S. soil. (I assume they still have an office in some Chi. Fed Bldg today)

So sometimes reading the phone book can be fun :-)

TADSLOS POSTED: Perry's debate glaze out gave America it's biggest clue that Perry doesn't have an original thought in his head. He's a fraud.

N-i-c-e take----deserves a repeat and a re-read.

"People who conceptualize and develop their own detailed plans don't have trouble remembering and articulating the details......they don't go through a laundry list of things they think people want to hear for political effect. They have trouble articulating details since they aren't genuinely tied to the ideas. They stumble because those ideas aren't flowing from them but being aped through rote memorization for a sound bite."

==============================================

Many observers may also have been put off by Perry's aggressive delivery of his sound bites.....almost like a school bully intimidating you into giving him your lunch money.

Perry musta been coached to gesture and mouth his responses bluntly and strongly----b/c he did a lot of that.

"Oops" was his best line to date (/snix).

Well if you had bothered to watch the vid of his interview yesterday he specifically talked about the EPA.

But then PERRY actually thinks BEFORE he speaks. Doesn’t just shoot off his mouth blaming anyone and everyone for his problem. He said: I stepped in it. He didn’t blame the MEDIA.

Unlike Cain/Block.

Coming from a cultist kool-aid drinker, I’m honored.
Especially from YOU:

Rovian
adjective. describing something exhibiting or employing fraudulent spin. Deft use of misleading information, double speak, or double logic for the purposes of manipulating policy and the general public.

In a typical Rovian maneuver, incorrect information was purposely provided to the reporter so as to discredit the entire story when it came out.

Well, if you bothered to know your own lame candidate's BS platform, you'd know that he was trying to think of the DOE not the EPA.

Everyone here knows who the Kool-Aid drinkers around here are and it ain't Cain supporters. It's mindless sycophants like you who shill for stammering, cronyist, imbeciles.

> Do you want a nominee that will lose the general? Will that satisfy people like you? I’ve seen this before from politically unsophisticated people (legions on this site).

Whoah, there, pal, let’s not fling insults around at your FRiends.

> Cain might help win a few more votes in states that Republicans are gonna win anyway, but does he help in the swing states that will determine the election? The movers and shakers don’t think so.

You have some points about electoral politics and the preferences of the establishment GOP. But here are some other things to consider.

1. A Romney presidency is likely to be more destructive to the country than a Zer0 2nd term. Now hang on before you scream at me. Mittens is nearly as liberal as Zer0 but has the patina of an (R) after his name. He talks a pretty game now for the primaries but you know that he’s gonna swing WAY left if he’s elected president. And all the united opposition you see now from the GOP Congress will melt away once “one of our own” is calling the shots. Say hello to more Obamneycare, amnesty for illegals and more taxes... and more abominable legislation that wouldn’t have a PRAYER if Zer0 was in office.

2. Cain is running a smart, unconventional campaign. He’s thinking like a CEO and outside the Beltway. The “conventional wisdom” has counted him out almost a dozen times and he’s sprung back. Besides, with all the dirt getting flung at him now, they’re basically destroying those issues for the general election.

3. The “movers and shakers” have had it wrong before. Do you remember McCain, and backing “moderates” like Dede Scozzafava?

For the last time. Cain only excites voters who are gonna vote for the Republican Candidate anyhow. He doesn’t bring in any new people. The American Voter is not at this time a FR type conservative. In certain states (California & Massachusetts) it’s impossible for a Republican to win at the state level no matter who the candidate is. So we need a candidate who can win those states that are in play, for example a state like Ohio. This is where the election will be determined. It’s not a case of liking or disliking Cain, it’s practical politics. It’s that simple.
