November 9, 2011Herman Cain has spent his life living and working all over the country -- Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Washington, D.C. -- but never in Chicago.
So it's curious that all the sexual harassment allegations against Cain emanate from Chicago: home of the Daley machine and Obama consigliere David Axelrod.
Suspicions had already fallen on Sheila O'Grady, who is close with David Axelrod and went straight from being former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley's chief of staff to president of the Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA), as being the person who dug up Herman Cain's personnel records from the National Restaurant Association (NRA).
The Daley-controlled IRA works hand-in-glove with the NRA. And strangely enough, Cain's short, three-year tenure at the NRA is evidently the only period in his decades-long career during which he's alleged to have been a sexual predator.
After O'Grady's name surfaced in connection with the miraculous appearance of Cain's personnel files from the NRA, she issued a Clintonesque denial of any involvement in producing them -- by vigorously denying that she knew Cain when he was at the NRA. (Duh.)
And now, after a week of conservative eye-rolling over unspecified, anonymous accusations against Cain, we've suddenly got very specific sexual assault allegations from an all-new accuser out of ... Chicago.
Herman Cain has never lived in Chicago. But you know who has? David Axelrod! And guess who lived in Axelrod's very building? Right again: Cain's latest accuser, Sharon Bialek.
Bialek's accusations were certainly specific. But they also demonstrated why anonymous accusations are worthless.
Within 24 hours of Bialek's press conference, friends and acquaintances of hers stepped forward to say that she's a "gold-digger," that she was constantly in financial trouble -- having filed for personal bankruptcy twice -- and, of course, that she had lived in Axelrod's apartment building at 505 North Lake Shore Drive, where, she admits, she knew the man The New York Times calls Obama's "hired muscle."
John Brooks, Chicago's former fire commissioner, filed a lawsuit against Daley six months ago claiming Daley threatened to smear him with sexual harassment accusations if Brooks didn't resign. He resigned -- and the sexual harassment allegations were later found to be completely false.

Axelrod destroyed the only two men who stood between Obama and the Senate with illicitly obtained, lurid allegations from their pasts.Most honest, transparent, all American administration ever.
In 2007, long after Obama was safely ensconced in the U.S. Senate, The New York Times reported: "The Tribune reporter who wrote the original piece (on Hull's sealed divorce records) later acknowledged in print that the Obama camp had 'worked aggressively behind the scenes' to push the story."
Some had suggested, the Times article continued, that Axelrod had "an even more significant role -- that he leaked the initial story."
The Chicago Mob/Political machine is alive and well.
The most vocal among those idiot Republicans was Ray LaThug, Zero's current Transportation Secretary. Ann should have included that.
Its the Chicago Way. And the Obamaites are ruthless - their Alinsky tactics are honed to perfection.
I don’t believe any of these charges. Not for a minute.
However, it was WAY WRONG for Herman to immediately point his finger at Perry. Showed insecurity and immaturity.
I just sent a contribution to Cain campaign more than double of my previous contribution.
There are 5 allegations.
3 of them are anonymous.
4th is from Chicago who has bankruptcies, paternity suits, in her bio and lives in the same building as Axelrod.
5th is now working in Obama admin, and has history of filing complaints at other jobs.
One of the anonymous includes a woman whose only complain is he asked another woman for dinner and then left her a $800 wine bill and made no sexual overtures.
Why no allegations surfaced during Cain’s last campaign for senator? Why nothing surfaced when he was far behind in presidential nomination polls? Why did they surface only after he became a threat to win the nomination? Who is scared of a Cain nomination? Why all of these women wait 14 years? Why no police report was filed after alleged sexual groping?
Did not someone already confirm that this is NOT the same Axelrod as in Odumbo’s administration?
And nearly every Democrat and half of all Republicans predictably fall for this type of crap every single time. It is more than pathetic.
Meanwhile, the American public is not even allowed to see Obama’s college transcripts.
Yes, the lawyer David Axelrod involved in Bialek’s court case is not the same David Axelrod.
The David Axelrod that lives in Bialek’s Lake Shore Drive apartment complex IS the same David Axelrod. Bialek admitted as much yesterday on Fox.

But people like Ann Coulter coming out and giving this kind of information can only help. Even the elites are going to have to help Cain if his numbers stay up and this controversy keeps up. Why? Because it will be bad for the party and probably hand the election to Obama.
I think Ann may have connected the dots very accurately on this mess.

That Axelrod was in a different context. Bialek has lived in the same high rise as Obama adviser Axelrod, is how I understand it.
Axelrod is an oozing, slimey, tub of sleaze. Together with Chuck U Schumer and Turbin Durbin, they form a kind of triumvirate of the political grotesque.

Once again Ann hits it out of the park! I didn't know it was Axelrod on the Ryan material.
Like many conservatives, I smelled a rat as soon as I realized that all the sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain were coming out of Chicago and his 3-years as head of the NRA. Why no other sexual harassment claims against Cain in a 40-year career? Why only in this short time frame? It never added up and I strongly suspected that the claims were totally fabricated and generated by Obama campaign operatives. This is why I refuse to take these allegations seriously and I'm disappointed that a few FReepers were eager to jump on the 'dump Cain' bandwagon and accept these specious claims at face value, sometimes using the rationale that 'there are so many of them'.
I believe that these fallacious accusations, based on a political vendetta against Herman Cain by the Obama campaign, will not resonate with most Republican voters and that Cain will be the ultimate victor in the 2012 GOP presidential primary race. In my opinion, that the Obama campaign fears Herman Cain's candidacy is now beyond argument and anyone who believes that the accusations against Cain are actually true is naive and uninformed.
