Obama got his debt extension and the tax payers will get zip.
Cuts will be put off for a later date, if the GOP agrees to more debt :)

Is this becoming the new SOP for Democrats? New?

Its quite simply becoming obvious that DC runs congress...not We the People.
It goes on only as long as we continue to let it.

There never were any spending cuts - just decreases in the rate of spending increases. And that, of course, would be spread out over several hundred years...

It’s too bad the Tea Party is not organizing a march to the Capitol, with patriots carrying posters that say:
HEY, STUPID!
CUT the SPENDING!

Exactly - let the auto-cutting and the auto-austerity begin. But wait, I’m forgetting, we are only bound by the laws when there is a Republican administration. Great Leader is not afraid to ‘go it alone’ because of Congressional foot dragging.

This whole thing smells from the beginning, on both sides. Boehner had the power and didn't need to agree to a debt commission, or the silly triggers.
The military cuts would never get through with out the tricks. Both sides fail.

I am becoming convinced that the Democrats WANT this to fail (more fuel with which to denigrate the “do-nothing” Republicans).

The libbers have no motivation to make a deal. If they don’t make a deal, all the cuts come out of defense, which would be their preference, if there has to be cuts. How could the republicans have been stupid enough to go for a deal like THAT?

There will be a deal. This is the same charlatanry we saw during the debt ceiling talks: "heated" debates, people walking out, and then the Republicans caving in the end while trying to spin it as a victory.

Yeah, the Italians are finding out what happens when you won’t cut the budget until the bitter end.

The cesspool known as D.C. has been completely infiltrated - on BOTH sides - with power hungry elitists who have no concern for the the well being of the country, light alone it's citizens.
It's a facade. They're not working hard at anything. Mark Levin said he saw John F'in Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) in a suite, trolling around at the ball game the other night.
It wouldn't surprise me if Boehner was right there with him.
TEA PARTY!!! There's still a lot of house cleaning left to do!!
