I like Cain. Please don’t misunderstand me...I’d enthusiastically support him.
But given the swirling claims - true or not - are you seriously saying Newt has too much “baggage” to be elected while supporting Cain?
Most of the BS launched at Newt has little credibility. As for his fooling around, I think we have ample precedent that the electorate doesn’t view that as a disqualifier.
Hank
Newt was for mandates before he is against them. Newt was for man made global warming before he is against it. Newt is for comprehensive immigration reform which to me sounds like back door amnesty to illegals.
I am quoting above from memory of what I have read, so please do not demand links.
Having said above, Newt is to be admired for 1994. He would be an asset in any republican admin. He knows how congress works better than all other candidates running for president. But I am afraid to trust his instincts in the top position.
Even if the allegations about Cain are true, and I stipulate to that for the sake of argument, and he fools around with other women, the fact is that Cain remains married to his first wife and never dumped her for the "trophy wife".
I think many conservatives can understand a man having sexual urges on the road, so to speak, but the main thing is you go home to the wife who gave birth to and raised your children as opposed to kicking her to the street to shack up with some gold-digging bimbo.
Now all of the above is conceding the point that Cain might be a womanizer. In actuality, I take Cain at his word that the accusations being made against him by those other woman are false. That said, I would be deeply disturbed if it ever came out that Cain was lying about this.

That is a stupid lie, and it does a number on what little credibility you may have left.
There is so much crap that Newt has done to GOP conservatives that I could believe anything about him easily. Newt is in this to destroy us; bet on it.
