I think he just screwed up. Claimed he had never seen the woman before, even though there is a picture of them together.

If you are referring to the picture of Cain and a blond at a recent Tea Party function, that was not her but the reporter Amy something. The accuser Sharon Bialek was there and went and gave him a hug but I haven't seen a picture of her and him.
