Your post reflects my opinion exactly. I don’t dislike Perry. He’s been a pretty good governor. And with a couple of well-known apaostacies, I think he’s a reliable conservative. He’d be a much better president than Filth Obama.
But his presentation is a nightmare. I don’t want to spend six months trying to convince people our candidate REALLY is smart...he just hides it very well. Been there, done that (see: Bush The Younger).

Same here. Dubya is really a smart man, but can't communicate worth a lick. Unless one spends a good deal of time really studying him, they can easily come away believing that he's a beer short of a six pack.
Rick Perry apparently has the same affliction, although in his case, I feel he's also lacking the love that so clearly showed whenever Dubya spoke to us. I could forgive his mangling of the language, because the man had something glowing within him that was unmistakeable. I just do not see that with Rick Perry.
