Republican 2012 presidential candidates Republican 2012 presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich met in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate on current economic and social issues facing the U.S.
Whatever you do, don’t point out Perry has already reduced medical costs in Texas with Tort Reform and successfully tested a privatized SS system in Galveston which he thinks everyone should be able to implement.
The last thing people want to hear is Texas already been there, done that, racked up the savings and success.
I agree with you Hank. AT this point theres no one better. Gingerich/Cain would kick arse.
Gracious Newt!
Side stepping 9-9-9 tonight.
The two will debate and talk about that on Sean Hannity’s for an hour sometime later.
Like gentlemen!
WOO-HOO!
We have two adults running for our nation’s highest office!
Newt laying down the LBJ lie.
No, I can’t.
Can I imagine either one in a monologue?
Perry has decided he can't run with the big dogs and has elected to sit on the porch.
FINALLY!
Finally someone comes out and says that they stole the damned money.
Cain is doing well. Cain is showing himself to be a natural gifted leader with great wisdom.
Newt saying Obama was dishonest when he threatened not to pay Social Security during the budget crisis last July.
Why, why, why do you have to demean Perry all the time? He is a good man and has good ideas. Are you from Texas or just spewing what other have quoted from “unknown sources”? If you don’t know what you are talking about, just shut up.
Cain/Gingrich.
This thread is about Cain and Newt...Perry will have his time if he decides he’ll debate again...currently he says he won’t
I am really enjoying this debate. Both men acting like MEN and talking about the issues. They would make a pretty darn good team wouldn’t they. They both have mutual respect for one another, I am really liking what I am seeing
Don’t waste your time trying to pry open welded shut minds.
Huh? How, exactly has Perry tested the Galveston plan?
Which, I’m sure you realize, is an entirely different thing than saying they were invited to THIS debate and refused to come.
Perry/Romney were asked to do a separate one-on-one debate. I don’t see the point of Romney and Perry doing their own debate, especially when it isn’t really a debate. I’d watch it I guess, but I’d much rather see each candidate spend an hour with a questioner, but given plenty of time to talk about what they want, than watch Romney debate one-on-one with anybody.
“We apologize again for the fault in the audio. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked.
If they’re union they can’t be sacked.”
Problem is, the audio guys are in the sack, instead of in the sound room.
Did anyone hear what Newt just said about Dick Armey?
BEST DEBATE EVER!
Two adults! Both gracious and informative!
Cain has been getting better as he goes along. He just needed to build up a head of steam.
