Republican 2012 presidential candidates Republican 2012 presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich met in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate on current economic and social issues facing the U.S.
You Cain sycophants are just blind. Cain had another “right of return moment”. He had NO IDEA what the question was and dodged a bullet by passing off to Newt. He covered it well, I thought, but to deny that he was stumped is just ridiculous.
Just say no — don’t click on any of these stories!
And that is the reason that Perry will fail in his presidential bid. You can't win unless you show up on game day and out-play the other guys.
He said a week ago that he was considering dropping out of the rest of the debates, then quickly backtracked and promised to attend them all. That was a faux pas in and of itself, and magnified his weakness in the area of communicating his ideas.
There's really little point in the man continuing to pursue this course, unless he can suddenly learn to be an effective communicator overnight. It's an essential entry level skill that any presidential candidate MUST have.
Yes, yes and yes.
And yes.

Why does this matter to anyone?
Can you post a link to Yakity Sax to go with it?

Do I have a campaign now? When I mention that a few Cain supporters are delusional, I’m always thinking of you.
We turned in here for a discussion of the Cain/Gingrich debate. Perry wasn’t even invited, so I figured it would be safe from the anti-Perry childish namecalling, but as usual, I underestimated the childish delinquency of a few freepers. So before the debate even started, there were multiple false attacks and childish namecalling of perry and his supporters.
And yes, there are perry supporters who respond in kind, and maybe at one point they were initiators of the same type of thing.
I will note that your “rejoinder” to me doesn’t reference ANY of my posts in this thread — why? Is it because you can’t find any examples of this “childish obnoxious behavior” you seem determined to charge everybody with here?
I realize that namecalling is easier for you than actually addressing points made in discussions. But you should try moving out of your comfort zone and actually thinking for a change. Study up some, learn actual facts, figure out what candidates actually SAY, and then join the adult discussion. You’ll be better off in the long run.
:0)
I thought so too.
I think it is sad that we had so many trying to disrupt the thread with negativity and a whole lot of ridicule. One of them asked me to let him know when Mr. Cain and Mr. Gingrich started kissing.
I am not sure why as far as I could tell every one of the rascals as usual was a supporter of just one particular candidate. It has definitely become a reoccurring pattern; they have had such a busy week fully supporting the MSM’s almost unprecedented attacks on Mr. Cain that I suppose it has been difficult for them to tone it down.
I am trying not to hold their boorish behavior against their candidate. I certainly hope that he is not as nasty as his supporters, but it does make one wonder... When Mr. Cain said that he would not consider their candidate as a running-mate “at this time” because he knew something that we don't. Just maybe their guy is as rude and nasty as they are. Maybe he is a bully. His followers certainly are.
I like Croutons.
lol! That visual is already in my mind. It would be hilarious.
I think Obama will be completely intimidated by Cain. I think Cain is the man Obama wishes his father was. And now Cain is going to whup him in the election.
This time around he does NOT get a pass and certainly NOT from those who are Christian.
(so there's yer' sign)
Hey, we all are really hurting Perry — he was doing so well before tonight, and now he’s croutons!!! I never realized that MNJohnnie was actually trying to HELP Rick Perry when he claimed Perry painted the n-word on a rock, and called everybody liars who tried to correct him.
It does warm my heart though to see so many freepers taking such a personal interest in Rick Perry’s well-being.
I tend to agree that Newt came across tonight as far better informed and imaginative than Cain, tho both did remarkably well and I was proud that they are both in the GOP race. Cain holds an ‘inspirational’ edge on Newt. And likability.
The one remaining concern I have about Newt, were he the nominee going head to head with Obama in debate next Fall, is that he’d pull a Kemp. Kemp was extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and a principled conservative. I had looked forward to his debating the sox off of Gore. He caved in the first few minutes. Such a disappointment.
Still, as it stands today, Newt is FAR better prepared than Cain or any other GOP candidate to match up with Obama in debate. Unlike McCain, I don’t think Newt would let Obama intimidate him, or be fearful of being called ‘racist’ for taking him on strongly.
Well you might equally enjoy his masturbating a turkey, I want details or I’m thinking this is a farmyard wannabee.
Yup, thats the way it always works.
No one ever
jumps Perry threads.
I agree.
It said a LOT.
Got me thinking back to how the men looked during the debate, too. Newt was indeed the sloppy, but likable and very engaging professor. But Cain looked like a CEO in that chair!
And, I’m telling you, he looked like a CEO that you did not want to cross and have to stand in front of him and explain yourself. IOW, he was commanding.
A fantastic team, but Cain always manages to remind us that he’s bringing a whole new mindset to this situation. And that’s what we need.
I wont ever forget how Herman sleazed Perry.
