Occupy DC protesters tried to force entry into the Washington Convention Center on Friday, where Americans for Prosperity is hosting their “Defending the American Dream Summit.” The protesters also formed roadblocks, surrounding the convention center and only allowing non-luxury cars to pass.

My experience is that many women tend to let their mouth get their butt in trouble. When you’re surrounded by insane barbarians it is no time to stand there and flap your jaw.

They are salivating for one of their own to get killed. Heck, they’ll start PUSHING each other in front of cars, if they haven’t already!

We are retired/nearly retired.
We have considered moving out of the county, but our savings were badly hurt and we must continue working. Our property, which we considered part of our retirement fund, can’t be sold in this economy. If we are forced to sell before things rebound, we will take a beating. Our SS will not be enough, even in Panama.
Another thing: at our age, we do not want to be in a strange culture while America falls. Too many other countries in Central America are being infiltrated by our enemies. In Mexico, I have been reading for years about Indian tribes converting en masse to Islam. At least here, we have friends and a social niche, which we hope will help us through the bad times we foresee.
One of the things I disliked when traveling was being out on the streets and not understanding the conversations around us. Once we had made a few local friends in the islands, we did feel safer when out with them. This was mostly in Bonaire, NA. The Dutch government had changed the tax laws to encourage Dutch pensioners to retire there. Of course, the government was setting them up to be hostages to the locals, since the Bonaireans had had their Dutch passports removed a few years prior. By the time we sold our time share there, the Dutch pensioners had installed bars on their windows and barricaded the circum-island road near their homes. That same year, 1998, suddenly there were groups of sour-faced men in Islamic skull caps standing around the street corners glaring at the tourist women in their shorts and bikinis. We asked our local friends about this and they got nervous, usually just saying “Oh, they are from Curacao!” Yeah, right. Locals were also getting robbed via home invasion, all the time, real guys from Curacao were openly running drunk/drugged young women through the airport and things had changed so much in 10 years, we couldn’t quite believe it. We attended a dinner one night where the Chief of Police was present. He was relatively honest, spoke of how the liberal Dutch criminal laws were making life a hell on Bonaire and how he had little authority to combat it. Locals were talking about going to Canada.
I just don’t think there are any real safe havens if you are over 55, unless you have lots of financial assets and the savvy to move them around the world as necessary. For us, we have decided to stick it out at home.
However, we keep our passports current and we have figured out how to get some PMs out, if it ever comes to that. Just a Plan C and we may not ever see it happen or, if it does, we might already have passed on.
I don’t want to be 80 &/or infirm, in a strange culture with devalued American money. My father-in-law retired to Samoa, had a massive stroke and at least had two sons able and willing to travel there and do what little they could. Even then, in 1994, it was a nightmare and the vultures had already moved in on him.
No. The worst part is that U.S. citizens have become a nation of sheep. I don’t live in the U.S. so blame it on yourselves.
Many are but many, many more are not. We believe in the rule of law and the civil society, but at some point if law enforcement won’t enforce the laws then the citizens will have a duty to take care of this lawlessness on their own. We have that right inborn in us and just because we agree to let the police handle these matters we do not forfeit that right.
I would bet those police officers were under strict orders not to use force. I bet they were hating there jobs during that. Look to their superiors if you want to find the sheep.
Once enough people decide that they are on their own things are going to change all at once. I think it will happen suddenly and there is going to be blood on the moon before it is over. I think there is still time to avoid it and I hope and pray that we can but the authorities better step in quick and end this or they are going to be bystanders.
These protesters really have it backwards. They are the tiny minority. They are poking a Grizzly Bear with a stick. At some point the bear will get fed up and end them with one swipe of a paw.
Of course the Occupukes want violence. That’s the game plan. Incite it, cry victim, and then Jacobin style violence. If you’ve read about who organized, planned and funded this crap, you’d know the game plan. All Ayers stuff.

What follows is a close look at the leftist lawfare campaign of uncivil agitation as it unfolded in Denver last week. Denver, like other cities that have Occupy manifestations, is faced by a core of protesters from anarchist groups, labor unions, and communist organizations, often obscuring their affiliations, mixed in with a mishmash of confused students, concerned citizen activists, children, and all sorts of evil clowns.
