I just returned from a few week visit w brother in OKC area. Talked with him re quakes n New Madrid fault.

Is there any reporting yet on damages? I am thinking of the new tall building under construction downtown

Reports are mostly sharp shaking, heavy rattling and some swaying of hanging stuff. I think the Devon Tower being built downtown is good for this type of quake.

But I'm no engineer!

OKC is a long way from the New Madrid fault. I live right on the Mississippi River, was awake and didn't feel a thing.

I lived in the L.A. area for 26 years, 4.7 wakes rarely produce damage. Most people in Oklahoma would just think it was the wind.
