Two other problems besides oil prices have added to the rise of food prices. The disasters in the Midwest and subsidizing corn to be used as fuel have not helped. We import too much of our food and the dollar is sinking thanks to the commies in power.
Agreed on many points. That stupid deal to use corn for bio-fuel is much bigger fraud than Solyndra. Importing food is OK in some cases such as seasonal fruits & Veggies from S. America where seasons are opposite of ours.
I recently traveled through much of the affected area. The corn is all there and doing very well. The hysteria was ill founded and the disaster did not pan out.
