You’ve got to be kidding! He’s still saying that?

Very good.

He’ll look all the more foolish.

Earlier today there was a report that they were backing off that statement, but then I also read that Cain made a lot of robo calls still accusing Perry.

He’s looking a little weird over this.

Cain is the one who got into a little trouble with women, not Perry. I defended him on that and would still be defending him if he hadn’t tried to turn it on Perry.

Perry is my governor and has been for 11 years. He’s done a few things that not everybody agrees with but on the whole he has a good record and is a fine man.

That the Cain people cannot seem to support their candidate on his own merits but choose to support him by attacking Cain is a very odd way to support your candidate.

But then Cain is a very odd candidate.

More of Cain speaking for himself under pressure, not stammering around like a giggling drunk on a viral video.

He did fall apart at the end. I agree. For 7 years he was great against amazing obstacles.

He just got tired. That man took an incredible beating.

I was reading just a bit of Decision Points. I was extremely impressed. I only read the first part which is background (drinking, school, DWI,marriage) and the part on Katrina which he describes exactly how we all know it was.

Perhaps, CW, you may stop this incessant trashing of HC. Your boy has resoundingly proven himself an incompetent.

You don't see the irony in that post, do you?

It's OK....I do and I'm entertained. :-D

Yeah, he's squeaky clean alright.

I'm going to tell you Perry folks one last time: if you believe tearing down Cain is going to get your man votes, you're smoking the same stuff Perry is. It didn't work with Palin. And it won't work with Cain or Bachmann.

I want Cain gone because it’s becoming more and more apparent that he is not a good choice for our nominee.

I would prefer anyone else, maybe Newt, although Perry is my first choice.

And, once again, like so many Perry detractors, you combine a statement indicating Perry hasn’t got a snowball’s chance in the hot place, with an attempt to help your guy by insulting him.

Cain has started this infighting and I’ve lost all respect for him.

I still think he’s a conservative democrat... voted for Clinton ... I can’t even imagine voting for Clinton if he is as socially conservative as he claims. He also supports Romney. Has he said a negative thing about Romney?

Maybe a couple for show.

What has he done to deserve this nomination?

Nothing.

I think it's coming to light that Cain IS a trasher. He did the same thing with "the rock".

There was an incident at some point during his tenure as Pres of the National Restaurant Association and Cain is blaming everyone and their mother for it coming to light.

Yet, I believe he said he told some staffers that it may come to light. Well, surprise!!!

You know I make a real effort to read the links and check out the videos. I have been very disappointed in many on Free Republic recently and of their willingness to watch a few clips of a 24 minute video or anything else thrown their way and repeat it as fact. I had to watch the 24 minute version of it would have clouded my judgment.

Too bad for you you're a willing all day sucker. Maybe Perry will come out without proof an accuse Cain of that video. The Preacher is a phony.

Not buying it. You want Cain gone because you believe in your heart his supporters will turn to Perry. And that’s the only reason.

Perry most certainly is not a Christian:

Christians do not accept Islam as truth.

Christians do not advocate forcing children to take dangerous life threatening potions.

Christians do not have their hirelings launch false attacks on other candidates through inuendo.

That is Perry’s “walk.”

Your boy has resoundingly proven himself an incompetent.

What is with this "your boy" in referring to Governor Perry?!

You can call him Governor and show some respect. God forbid someone called Cain "your boy," everyone would be playing the race card. Just like he is with these accusations.

BTW, the Cain campaign has since backed off their accusations of Perry.

"Herman Cain is a good judge of character."

He very well might be, but to complain about being the victim of an unsubstantiated smear and then turn around and make an unsubstantiated accusation was just plain dumb. The Cain campaign has already had to backtrack from that accusation.

What a joke...And so what if it came out of Perry's camp. It's politics.

Cain said he had no skeletons. I think this is only the tip of it. And I'm very tired of the race card....

Good ol’ Rachel the Weener.

The globalist-elitist GOP attack on Cain will not end until the nation’s hopes of recovery are dashed on the rocks of GOP elitism.

I’m not clicking on that link. I’ve been on a lot of Perry threads and I’ve seen every insult that anyone could possibly dig up about Perry.

I’m very disappointed that a person like you would align herself with a man like Cain.

I’m very disappointed that you people harp on the so-called drinking speech when Perry has never had a drinking problem, was a huge hit with that speech and even the Dallas Morning News gave him kudos on it.

Your boy sings and you think it’s cute. Perry has a little fun and you accuse him of being drunk.

Believe me, Perry has many, many liberal enemies in Texas who would gleefully drag up any missteps he might have made. They have failed.

And, guess what? Perry has a record. A RECORD. Imagine that. You can pick at it, but it’s out there.

You are supporting someone who has nothing to offer but..
that he’s a nice guy (looking a little less nice every day), that he’s a successful businessman (well, kinda successful but there are thousands with more success) and that he’s fun and sunny (dark side now appearing).

He’s talked a lot but what has he actually done?

We could discuss his record instead of Perry’s, but, guess what, there isn’t any.

He’s never been subject to intense media scrutiny until now because he’s never been a serious candidate. He was such an also ran in his senate race that nobody even bothered to dig up anything on him.

Given the fact that Perry’s campaign manager is Cain’s from his Senate run in the mid 2000’s... odds are that Perry’s campaign is the source.

Yeah, that was awful wasn’t it. I can certainly see why why “heartless” followed by an apology trumps another candidate who can’t keep his positions straight, hearts Romney, smears other campaigns without proof and has several sexual harassment cases settled would be a deal breaker.

All I know is if this was anyone but Cain (exception of Palin) no one would be going through these contortions to defend them. I’ve basically come to the conclusion conservatives don’t want to admit they got suckered by this guy and we might have to follow this to the inevitable Christine O’Donnell conclusion. At least then I was on the side with those supporting her...although even then for different reasons. I just wanted to torpedo Castle. I didn’t want her as a conservative standard bearer and was glad she lost in the general. And if that is all this is. People not wanting another candidate even if they lose the election...well I’ve been there and done that. But I was honest about it. Own up to it if that’s what you all are about. But if any believe this guy is some awesome truth bearing competant conservative warrior...well you are fools and deserve the embarrassment he’ll bring you.
