I don't know if there is more than one source or not, but, according to Politico, Chris Wilson, a Governor Perry supporter and pollster for the super PAC that supports Governor Perry, worked at the National Restaurant Association and is the (a?) source for the Cain/sexual harassment story.
He said the episode of harassment occurred in a public restaurant in the 1990's and that many people knew about it. What is WEIRD about the Politico story and Chris Wilson, is that Chris Wilson would not or did not say what happened. The only reason that omission catches my attention is that sexual harassment is a rather fluid concept. Some actions are OBVIOUSLY sexual harassment and some are NOT and are merely actions misinterpreted or exaggerated.
Hence I would like to know what it is that people (Chris Wilson) say Mr. Cain did. Of course because Wilson is also a Governor Perry guy, his remarks (accusation) should be looked at with a discerning eye and it is all the more important that he provide more information about what he claims Mr. Cain did.

Very succinct and reasonable. /s
I cannot believe you support this. Are you a liberal? Who else in their right mind would favor allowing a person to anonymously slime a presidential candidate? If she’s got something to say, let her do it publicly. The idea that she can call Cain a liar while never even giving up her privacy is beyond the pale. She should face the cameras—and get her share of questioning—or she should shut up and stay shut up.
I can see DUers getting all hot and bothered over the hope that the woman can avoid all scrutiny and vetting/background checking, etc., via anonymous attacks [it’s an attack when you call somebody a liar], but a conservative? No; I cannot believe a conservative would support this vile and cowardly tactic.
I have despaired we will find someone perfect, electable and undamaged by the time of the campaign!
Ok, ok, you and I will just have to make the great sacrifice and RUN for POTUS AND VP !!!
I was only speaking of the ridiculousness of the assertion on cains part that a woman would be offended that he raised his hand and said “You are about my wifes height”
Why would ANYONE be offended by that?
It doesn’t pass the smell test.
Eeeeeww, but then you might have Tiny Hyenas of Groupthink Island worshiping you!
Would it have been better to come out in the General Election???
It's not the fault of Perry, Romney or anyone else.
Perry endorsing Gore's losing 1988 bid to be the Dem nominee makes him unacceptable but Cain voting for Bill Clinton in 1992 gets a pass? It's a hypocritical stand at best.
You're post makes no sense. However, I will answer your two direct questions:
No, I have never worked for the NRA.
I can, correctly, say that the allegations are unfounded because as of this moment, no one has come forward with any first hand evidence stating otherwise. The fact that a dirt ball employment lawyer mentions he was involved in a settlement and then goes into non-specifics does not provide founding for a smear campaign. His "client" does not wish to discuss the matter. The fact that a pollster who has worked for Rove and is connected to the Perry camp says he saw an un-named woman in a public restaurant being offended by Cain does not provide first hand evidence of a pattern of sexual harassment.
I know a few people who have been on the receiving end of sexual harrasment complaints which were just total BS. I know the lawyers who specialize in this field are, for the most part, out for financial enrichment and not justice for the accuser or accused.
So, until we know something other than some un-named sources say that Cain committed some un named offensive acts, they are unfounded. Is that clear enough?
Well n00b, the first thing I ask is how many names do you currently hold at Freerepublic? The second thing I ask, though from your posting history it is unlikely that you would answer truthfully, whom are you here at FR seeking to disrupt? Conservatives in general, or anyone supporting any other candidate except your chosen rino? I dare say Herman Cain is wiser than you will ever be should you live to see the age he has achieved. Your posting is sleazy and typicasl of axelrod and rominey operatives. Been saving the rope you didn’t get to use on Clarence Thomas?
Make stuff up much?
You are one of the worst offenders of spreading lies and misrepresentations on this board, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why a Pennsylvanian living in Italy is so upset with Texas state law.
That’s exactly right. And the fact that Cain practically protects Romney and has tried to bring down Perry from day one makes me wonder.
bttt
“It is just my opinion that Mr Cains story sounds unplausable.
Why would any loon be offended by the story he told?
Why does he keep changing his story?”

I’ll ask you again; if you’re so sure that Cain did sexually harass this woman:
1) why was it never litigated?
2) why does this woman not want to come out and talk?
3) why wasn’t this brought up when Cain was at the bottom of the polls a couple of months back; i mean, if this horrible abuse took place, you’d think it would’ve come out many months ago.
4) Why did the Politico leave out all specifics of the allegations (the allegations you and other Perrybots seem to be so sure actually happened)when this story came out?
Sad you and other Perrybots are siding with the Left-wing media in sliming a conservative presidential candidate on charges that were never litigated and found to be baseless. But hey, your guy Perry’s presidential bid is at stake here. By-the-way, where are all these women? Thought they were just dying to talk about all of the abuse at the hands of Mr. Cain?
My guess is, if this were happening to Perry you’d be outraged.
This garbage builds up no Republican candidate and sullies the GOP in general. Guess who has that agenda in mind. HINT: it isn't a GOP candidate.
Pretty bold on your part, and I applaud you.
We need animated talk, but FAIR talk on this forum.
Even President Ronald Reagan saw the light and switched to the Republican Party.
Cain publicly disagreed with President Clinton's policies years before he ran for President.
“I have news for you.
Cain wont pull more than 4% of the black vote.”
And you’re basing that on what...your inherent racism?
“Cain and Newt sounds good. In that order. “
Agree...perfect ticket.
Less than that, but don’t be deceived into thinking that Cain will pull in the black vote.
They hate him.
I love him 1000% more than the black populous.
