In a cryptic comment made at National Journals Election 2012 Preview event Tuesday, Mark Block, Herman Cains campaign manager, made reference to an incident involving Cain and a receptionist for a radio talk show host.

Asked by panel moderator Beth Reinhard whether he could guarantee that theres not more information forthcoming about his past, Block began his answer with a blanket denial, followed by what seemed to be a description of an unreported recent incident involving Cain.
Mr. Cain has never sexually harassed anybody. Period. End of story, he said. As the hours go by, its interesting that we even hear from a radio talk show host of Iowa that a receptionist thought that Mr. Cains comments were inappropriate.
POLITICO has learned that the incident involved a staffer for Steve Deace, an influential conservative talk radio host who hosts a nationally syndicated show in Des Moines. And Deace says he did take offense.
Deace, who penned an opinion piece critical of Cain earlier this month, told POLITICO in an email that Cain said "awkward" and "inappropriate" things to the staff at his station.
"Like awkward/inappropriate things he's said to two females on my staff, that the fact the guy's wife is never around...that's almost always a warning flag to me," Deace wrote. "But I chose to leave that stuff out [of the opinion piece] and make it about his record and not the personal stuff."
Pressed about what exactly Cain said to the employees of his show, Deace responded by describing how he himself treats his staff.

I don’t know. It is just vague b.s. as far as I can tell.
You’ve got to be a Perrybot.
The "Iowa radio host" touted by Politico is Steve Deace.Steve Deace is an admitted reformed porn addict who recently lost the hundred pounds he gained eating and you-know.
Now he is such a disgusting self-righteous Church Lady he was removed from the afternoon slot and shoved between financial advice and George Noory's Lifestyles of the Weird and Drooling.
Deace couldn't bash Sarah Palin enough and now thinks he's got a new voodoo doll.
Think about it: Deace, the admitted reformed porn addict joining in the lynching of a good man.
And, hey, Steve, is your wife always with you?
The new afternoon host is Simon Conway who is very conservative, had Herman on yesterday, then repeated the interview.
And Simon Conway emceed when Sarah spoke recently in Iowa--
Deace was a Huckster. Formerly Fat Church Ladies Anonymous.
Just. Sayin'.
Further this deponent sayeth not.
(You know, confidentiality, wouldn't be prudent.)
Now don’t you just choke on yuour popcorn there, fella.
All Mr. Cain needs to do. if questioned about this balloon filled with hot air, is to smile and say “didn’t happen. Next quewtion.”
Thanks, Phil. He sounded like a creep from his comments, especially his observation about Herman’s wife.
And I trust no one who bangs the drum for that slimebag Huckabee.
Obama’s old boyfriend must be fuming at all the attention these allegations are getting.
I have had men tell me that they have been berated for holding a door for a woman.
Sometimes I have very little tolerance for a good portion of my gender.
Cain needs to bow out. Who wants to be following this type of mess for another year.
Here's one more for your list...I got reamed for holding a door open for a woman at a public library...and that was in the 70's. Up north, of course.
I have been, and it's a load of cr@p. Same with "the benefits of diversity" training. Bah.
But....he's INFLUENTIAL!!!!
Politico said so.
Oops, did I leave off a sarcasm tag. ;p)
NOW strikes again...
I LOVED visiting my relatives in TN (and that’s not even the “deep South”)! Having the door held open for me, men calling me ma’am, etc... Like you said, someone calls you pretty and it makes your day!
Those bitter females who pretend that anything a man says MUST be sexual in nature have ruined so many things. AND, it makes those of us women who actually HAVE been sexually assaulted or harassed for REAL look bad... I intensely dislike these types of women.
There is a HUGE difference between a compliment and a sexually inappropriate remark.
I wonder what the gal would have done had he said she was ugly as a mud fence?
How is this playing in Iowa?
For those of us who grew up before all the thin skinned offense taken nowadays, it was considered polite to compliment somenone, especially a woman, on their appearance.
Before "free love" there was no presumption that a compliment was foreplay.
Now, communication is a fricking minefield.
