back in the 50’s one of the gals in our crowd got preg. her parents forced the abortion, and it was done in a doctors office. She was something of a loose gal and the possible father was a colored guy. (the word of the day and not an insult but a description)another gal not of my crowd went to spend the summer at her grandma's place and was back in school that fall....baby given up for adoption. All through high school that was the only 2 that we knew of..."going all the way" was not the norm for gals...but boys being boys would always try. We didn't need laws to teach us how to handle guys and weren't naive about sex...
