Romney was doing as his religion said and was pro life, among other things
______________________________________________

Romney’s religion is not pro-life...

Their stance is except for incest, rape and the health of the mother...(which of course can be interprested as anything...)

Just as Roe V Wade first started out...

The mormons just require a woman to pray with her Mormon bishop for whatever first and then if her Mormon gods tell her to go ahead its alright...

Mormons dont have a clear doctrine on just when life begins in the womb...

When it comes to this subject most Americans when polled say they only want it used for this. They are just fine if a woman’s life is in danger. Or if a woman is raped by a stranger. Incest? Yes I can see all the threads on the incest related abortions. Abortion for them is seen as an end a pregnancy of a statutory rape, not knowing it is some family member trying to hide a crime. Either way I am not going to tell a raped woman she can’t have an abortion, because of her state of mind. I will only tell her to think about it and try to change her mind. Same goes for a woman who’s life is in danger. I would suggest to that woman she seek a second opinion if she has not already. Most I talk to feel the same way. They don’t want it used as a birth control, and are shocked that this is the outcome.

My grandmother told me that before roe vs wade abortion was available for women who were raped and danger to a mothers health. I believe her she was conservative. I have to also imagine that these type of abortions were not common in most places, although I am sure they happened.
