Even the Jivaro Headhunters?
No. there are limits to what is permissible worship behavior.
islame needs to be banned for being the MURDER CULT it is.
The Koran (Quran) as it is set out is intentionally confusing. I believe the 'order' is shortest chapters to longest chapters... A system that has NOTHING to do with how the belief system is interpreted by religious Islamic scholars. The 'shortest to longest chapter' system allows the book to be all things to all people - because Mohammond changed his mind a lot. Only his later thoughts 'count'.
Higher up Imans have the book in order - and they know what matters and what doesn't. English versions of the book are available that are written sequentially. Those are the ONLY books that should be read in a Church - and only those last chapters written ( chronologically). Then the book can be seen for what it really is...
“”This sure as hell isn’t happening in any Catholic churches””
See Post #19. I didn’t expect to find any Baptist churches on the list either - especially in the south - but I was wrong on both counts!
Guess I'll have to share a bridge with her because I agree 100%. The mooselimbs are right up front with their anti Christianity religion, the Mormons, not so much.
I'd get up and walk out if quran or book of mormon were read from in my church.
IMHO Being open minded about Islam is a mistake.
There are nice Muslims - but they're nice in spite of the religion - NOT because of it.
Here's how the Quran works. Mohammad over the course of his life would change a portion of what he wrote - he would 'update' what was written. The newer writings TRUMPED the older. So if he said 'be kind to Jews' in the first few years when he was establishing this religion - but in the last years of his life said to 'kill Jews' only the LAST comments would be binding.
Christian ministers think his comments hold equal weight - they don't. Early comments - usually the more moderate areas of the Koran - are disregarded.

Actually when the Mormons have had Moslem Imams preaching in their temples...
isnt that the same thing ???
The Koran is quoted then for sure...

I bet it's the Lutheran Churches that allow lesbian preachers and condone gay marriages. As a Catholic, I know where the Church stands. They don't change with the wind.
I absolutely detest those coexist bumper stickers that I see all over Memphis, Tn.
It depends.
If he was explaining why something was WRONG in the koran, or if he was comparing the bible’s position on something in the koran, or if he was doing some kind of study showing for example how the Bible shows how things progressed from beingunder the Law to being under Grace, but in the koran it starts out peaceful but quickly turns violent towards others,
these kinds of things I’d have no problem with.
If he started to use it in terms of it being God’s word, or using part of it to teach a lesson, I’d be gone.
The only time that book should ever be referenced is to explain why it’s wrong, evil and/or the reason why we must realize we are in a real and spiritual war.
Anyone here hear any quran in church or synagogue on Sunday or Saturday? Sounds like WCC stuff. Otherwise it seems made-up.

Try Catholicism.
I TRULY am not trying to start an argument with you, OK?
My sil is a VERY strict Catholic. Perhaps 10-15 years ago, I foolishly started a conversation w/her regarding Catholics, the pope and the Bible.
She picked my Bible up and threw it on the floor..she said the church doesn’t NEED that “old book” as they have the pope to tell them what they need.
Guess who’s now going to Bible Study? Yep
SIL
And then there are the hadiths!
Any Church (Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical, Orthodox, or Pentecostal) that calls itself “Christian” has NO BUSINESS reading that satanic book from the pulpit. Perhaps in a discussion group or conference to discuss comparative religions, but NOT from the Pulpit!
I would walk out, then get the elders together to have the preacher thrown out of OUR church. It isn’t the preacher’s church, it’s our church.
If the elders were too gutless to do anything(ain’t gonna happen), I’d go to the state overseer. If he did nothing, I’d go to national, and if the generl overseer did nothing, I’d leave that outfit, and shake the dust from my feet as I did so.
I would run, not walk, to the door, leave and never return.
