Attorney General Eric Holder has agreed to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee on November 8, giving him what could be a friendlier forum to answer questions about the Fast & Furious controversy than a similar House session scheduled for early December.
Holder's Senate appearance was announced Monday by Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
The House Judiciary Committee announced last week that Holder was set to testify to that panel on December 8.
The Republican-led House panel is liekly to pepper Holder with questions about Operation Fast & Furious, a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigation that may have allowed as many as 2000 weapons to flow unimpeded from the U.S. across the border into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Two of the weapons turned up at the scene of the shooting death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in December.

Start a pool on whether he:
1) “Doesn’t remember;”
2) Goes on the offensive and attacks the Committee;
3) Just outright lies, or;
4) Takes the 5th;

Why is it a “Republican-led House panel”, but a “friendlier forum” in the Senate?
Nov. 8
Great, just one day before the end of the world.
What can the possibly accomplish in one day?
I gotta vote with 40% #1, 30% #2, 30% #3, and 0% #4.
Don’t think he knows the Constitution well enough to know the 5th Amendment.
His handlers will tell him it’s a bad thing to do, though.

Slow pitch soft ball with Leahy (Progressive-Vt.) on the hill.
Start a pool on whether the questions will include:
1) How are you doing?
2) What are you wearing?
3) Who’s your hair dresser?
4) How do you feel?
Say what you want about Holder, but I thought he was great as Detective Harris in “Barney Miller.”
I would not ask the first 3 questions. I would ask question 4, but only after about three days of intensive grilling, and then follow it up with:
“How do you think the family of __________________ feels” I would repeat the question with the blank filled in for each and every victim of his crime.
Then I’d ask again how he feels.
It’s a pity you aren’t the one asking...
5) Tells Congress to go to hell.
I would. They´re toothless.
Boycotting Politico, don’t care what they have to say, they’re unreliable and do not follow ethical journalism rules.
Softball questions from his buddies. How special.
Does Holder consider white middle class, middle aged men to be the most likely terrorists. And if he does - or IF they're high on his list - what has he done to uncover their nefarious ways...
