The corporate ladder is full of snakes - good people on their way up make lots of enemies - accidentally and deliberately. I suspect Cain was the in the former category.

Subliminal racism and envy - a destructive combination. We don’t know who made the allegations - Herman Cain doesn’t and apparently was unaware that there were settlements made on his behalf. Perhaps he was one of several upper echelon people who were accused of ‘holding women back’ - not sexual but sexist. There is a difference.

Yup. I worked in a fast growing now Fortune 500 company. They had a whole team whose only job was to deal with this crap. Some were true, 97% was just angry people lashing out.
