Wrong.. this has Perry written all over it. His free fall finally settled and now he’s launching attacks against conservatives.

Rick Perry is a sleazeball.

I KNEW they would do this, desperate as they are. But, Herman Cain will prevail and it will all come full circle on whomever instigated it, and really ruin THEIR picnic. Guaranteed.
From your lips to God's ears.

Likely. But Perry has his own skeletons, and liberals in Austin are just waiting to reveal them.

” Romney or Perry behind this? Take your pick. “

Nope.
A former board member contacted Politico.
“ The first woman was identified to POLITICO
by a former association board member
and her identity was confirmed by two additional sources.”
This particular board member was not told about the Cain settlement until he or she attended a board meeting and
trade expo in 1999.
The board member was upset that he or she wasn’t aware of the settlement earlier.
“What I took offense at was that it was clear that rather than deal with the issue, there was an effort to hush it up.
She was offered a way out to keep quiet.”

Who benefits the most from the timing? Rick Perry who finally halted his free-fall with a decent couple interviews.

This is 100% Anita Perry’s work.

I saw an interview that Justice Thomas gave.

When he was asked about the committee hearings he said it was all about one issue.

Roe vs. Wade.

When I heard him say that, it framed the entire historical picture differently.

It wasn't that I didn't know about the oppositional forces against his appointment. It was just the steely look in his eye when he said, “Roe vs. Wade” that made his appointment feel like that much more of a hard-won battle. He knew going in that it would be bloody. It became historical, and he was still appointed. That speaks to his resolve, I believe.

Cain is ready for this. He's been anticipating how nasty this race will become.

“They’re going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate,” Cain responded. “You’re right. Clarence Thomas. And so, to use Clarence Thomas as an example, I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching that he went through — for the good of this country.” Cain smiled broadly. “I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching.”

You don’t think they would do the same to Gingrich? And WORSE?

Well, Newt is my second choice, after Herman. And, Newt has been around so long; what else can they dig up on him? If not Herman or Newt heading up the GOP Ticket in 2012, then who? Who is left who is Conservative and can win? Certainly not Bachmann or Perry. Santorum??? I dunno.

Yes, and I say he needs tobe very strong here and call it what it is..a tactic of the leftist to falsely judge a man in the mind of the voters. Pure evil and say it loudly Herman! Go on the attack, with a twinkle in your eye.

The denial was in the associated press article. Did you not see that?

Associated Press - “Asked if Cain’s campaign was denying the report, Gordon said, “Yes.””

Thing about Gingrich is that his scandals are a known entity. If there were any other shoes to drop, Larry Flint's gumshoes would have found them back in the 90's. Then the general election would just devolve into a discussion of ideas where Gingrich would simply overwhelm Professor Obama.

That being said, I think Cain will weather this thing. If one of the complainants want to forfeit whatever they received in the settlement and bring their grievances into the court of public opinion, then we can evaluate the issue further.

lol @ “he or she”. If it’s a “he”, then I guess Cain will be able to get the GOProud vote /major, major sarc

Seriously, I want names. I wanna see if these board execs can be traced to a campaign, or if they were just trying to extort more money out of him.

Geraldo tried to pigeon hole Gordon, Cain’s campaign manager, by trying to get him to categorically deny the story or that payments were made... this is what they do, lay out an impossible scenario so that whatever you say, you become entrapped. You can’t categorically deny the story, because it has not been fully flushed out yet... and you cannot categorically deny that payments were made, cause they probably were, but if you confirm that payments were made, they have the noose around your neck regardless the explanation... may God grant Cain wings of eagles, that he may soar above the filthy antics of these media elites and leftists bastards... and I account Geraldo a bastard.

A non-issue. So he must have said something that offended two women. There are politicians (like Gingrich) who have had actual affairs yet who continue to function.
