To: MD Expat in PA

I wouldn’t mind living there, either, the only thing that I am saying is that I no longer hold the Amish in such high regard.

My mother’s family was from central Pa and the earliest mention that I can find is from 1740, something, when one of the Kissels sold their farm and left the Amish community. The area is still named after the family in Lititz, Kissel Hill farm is now a shopping center, I believe.

Now I know why they left.

Yup; we just can't avoid being human and sinful and in need of a Savior.
