Iranian Navy Rigid About Deployment At US Maritime Borders

TEHRAN (FNA) - Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari on Saturday reiterated Tehran's plan to deploy naval vessels near the maritime borders of the United States, and said Americans are not entitled to opposition as all nations have the right of voyage in international waters.

Speaking to FNA here in Tehran on Saturday, Admiral Sayyari said Iran is serious about deployment near the United States maritime borders and this rigidness has worried the US officials.

"Americans are worried about themselves. The Iranian army is present in free waters and will continue its presence," he said.

He said international rules and regulations entitle all countries to the right to freely sail and be present in the high seas, and added, "I ask if the United States maritime borders are not in free waters? If they are, then why should we not go there?"

With Iran claiming freedom of international waters as precedent is not very convenient for China claiming all of the South China Sea between Vietnam and the Philippines.

As far as I know, the Iranian navy is a coastal navy - not a blue water navy - they need naval ships which are designed to cross oceans. Chances are their current navy would flounder on the crossing. No loss there. They are simply making idle threats. Even if they succeeded in crossing with minimal losses, they would be met - and if a threat, sunk.

Yep, Iranian ships should be sunk as soon as they are within 500 miles. Consequences? They declare war, we blow up their nuclear facilities and take out their AA weaponry.

From someone who has participated in naval force projection across the world - it isn’t about getting there, it’s about staying there. How the Iranians plan to do that is a little vague. There aren’t a lot of service stations off the west coast, and it’s an awfully long run for an oiler, not to mention the high amusement factor involved in watching untrained sailors attempt an UNREP in heavy seas. Amusing for everyone not involved, that is. The Sovs never did master it.

The “Iran can’t reach us” retort is a fallacy. Suicidal mentality can “reach” any country. The schemes of rusty ships, walking through the Mexican border, etc. are quite feasible if not already putting saboteurs in and around the US.

The US military should act without orders from the coward-in-chief who is easily intimidated by any power. Although the POTUS is the most powerful person in the world, 0b0z0 is absolutely NOT even close to that.

If the US military decides to take out a ship in high seas, which is illegal but our survival may depend on it; they absolutely should with total deniability.

One B2 drops two 2000-lb JDAMS at the dead of night will “vanish” the ship with no chance of even S.O.S. beep. Vanishing ships’ incidents HAPPEN. We just have to turn waters close to our coasts into a gigantic Bermuda Triangle for what would be enemy ships! A rusty African ship vanished, so what?

Desperate times require desperate measures, including but not limited to saving the country from 0b0z0’s cowardice and Islamophilia*. Case in point, he wasn’t stopped from meddling in the ME and now we all see the devastating results. He created and facilitated the Islamo fascist dream Caliphate on its way to become a reality.

Powerful American patriots should weigh saving the country against their traditional commitment to a chain of command headed by an Islamophilic* Communist who is hell bent on destroying the Republic.
