From someone who has participated in naval force projection across the world - it isn’t about getting there, it’s about staying there. How the Iranians plan to do that is a little vague. There aren’t a lot of service stations off the west coast, and it’s an awfully long run for an oiler, not to mention the high amusement factor involved in watching untrained sailors attempt an UNREP in heavy seas.
