The large Republican presidential field, along with the dramatic surges and collapses of several of its candidates, may ultimately be much ado about nothing. That, at least, is the conclusion of the Republican strategists surveyed in this week's National Journal Political Insiders Poll, who almost unanimously identified Mitt Romney as the most likely candidate to win the nomination. In the five times the GOP Insiders have been asked that question in 2011, Romney has never surrendered the top spot.

strategists are paid to push a candidate.
All those elected politicians who support romney have election staffers who are paid to say what their boss tells them to say.
So you signed up yesterday to post this garbage. And I wonder who paid you to pimp Romney here?
You can tell who ever paid you that conservatives know how you RINOs and elites work. Every socialistic one of you needs to understand that if Romney somehow gets the nomination, we will never vote for him. There is no one he can add to his ticket that will change our minds. We know how you work. We don't like it and we won't vote for it.
Conservatives Near-Unanimous in Predicting Romney Debacle and Third Party Status
One minor problem. Their votes amount to about 0.001% of the general electorate. THE PEOPLE decide this one unfortunately. Modern communications is going to shake this one up to the core, they are going to be screaming for mercy. Where will they go for their next jobs? The DC beltway revolving door is going to hit them right smack in the face, they had better read the TEA leaves.
Are these GOP insiders also near-unanimous in predicting Mitt’s stunning loss to Obama, if he becomes the nominee?
That’s what will happen, if we’re stupid enough to let the establishment RINOs and the lib media pick our nominee again.
The GOP INSIDERS need to switch to the commiecrat party already and be done with it.
I guess they’re all entitled to their terror benefiting OWS/Zuccoti tantrum of free this and that, cuz no homo ho mother ever disliked a gangster.
Oh, wait, the OWS is their “me too” petty retort on the Tparty.
At least Uday and Qusay Hussein were smart and bought weapons and not chocolate accolades with their Dinar currency impositions.
The RINO Mortician can’t pull more that 25% in the first few primaries HE should do the honorable thing and step aside. 6 years of his Yankee in your face crapola is way too much to take. It is ironic I want a President who really doesn’t want the job but is willing to do his duty. Mortimer wants it too much.

“Thoughts?”
Hmmm. That you just joined FR 2 days ago and are posting mittens articles?
the fix is in.
Get the public USED to the idea and accepting the idea that Romney will be the nominee REGARDLESS of the fact that Cain is winning all the polls.
Then folks won’t be all that shocked when Romney pulls an upset and beats Cain by 100 votes.
Every night all the progressives get on their knees and pray fervently that the progressive Romney gets the nod to run against the progressive Obama. Then behind closed doors they can point and say “see we told you that the people are stupid”. The choice has been between two progressives every election but two since 1960 so maybe the people are stupid.
I refuse to vote for a Rino too.
The outcome will be the same whether or not the Rino gets our votes. If a Rino is the candidate, welcome Mr. O to a second term.
I just cannot stomach a second term of the O.
Welcome to Free Republic. You’ve posted two articles since you joined on Thursday, both of them about Mitt Romney.
You haven’t returned to respond to a single reply on either of your threads.
You haven’t posted any comments on any other threads.
You ask, “Thoughts?”
Well, yes. I have a few thoughts. Do you have any thoughts that you’re going to share with us at some point? What do YOU think of Romney?
There is also rumor that Mitt’s father was not a citizen at the time of Mitts birth. Isn’t that special!
Not from around here, are you........I smell soon to be ZOTTed troll!
