President Obama and his team are quite optimistic they will win reelection in 2012, notwithstanding the bad poll numbers he is facing and the absolute collapse of confidence with Washington and indeed the American economy.
There are a number of reasons why the president and his advisers are so optimistic.
First, it is his judgment that with the horse race now tied for president, he has managed to weather the storm of a declining economy and declining confidence much better than he, or frankly most observers, would have expected.

But what heartens the president's advisers is they believe they have locked into a strategy now that they are convinced can and will pay dividends.
First, they have largely given up on trying to work with Congress. With executive orders on housing and student loans, and a new slogan of "We can't wait!" the president and the Democrats are now arguing that gridlock in Washington is almost exclusively the Republicans' fault and that a "do nothing" Congress, whose rating fell as low as 9% in the most recent New York Times poll, and a Republican party whose negative rating is over 71%, will get the lion's share of the blame for inaction and dysfunctionality.
Second, the president looks at the Republican primary field and laughs, as he did on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno this week.

Hussein has his cult and the media....the same thing, basically. The cult will repeat his lies, and amplify them. But they cannot make prosperity out of nothing.
I will work to elect the Republican nominee, and I am not alone.
By any objective standard, Hussein is the worst occupier of the Oval office in 160 or more years. We have to work together to ensure he won’t stay there another four.

Ultimately the ‘entitlement class’ can only exist until the rest of society stops agreeing to keep paying the bills. The domination of society by an entitlement class will always only last for a finite period, after which the earners will quit funding them. In the USSR this happened because the productive members of society just quit being productive. Once that happened it was only a matter of when the end of the USSR would come, not if. The other way this can happen is if the earners just refuse to pay into the treasury. That's very extreme, but so is government confiscation and redistribution of the fruit's of one’s labors. Hopefully sanity will prevail and we will get back to the roots of what has always made the US exceptional.
No need for Obama to be re-elected.
One scenario is the removal of essentially all the American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan by the end of 2011 as Obama has indicated. Iran is in the process, and will continue to fill the power void and Jihadists will control almost every country from Afghanistan to the Atlantic Ocean by election time.
Therefore, Obama will “have to” impose Extreme Measures in the United States, disband Congress, suspend elections and rule by authority of the Directorate of the “His People”.
He doesn’t care. His coalition will benefit from the inculcated students who _think_ they *won* something. They are counting on waivers and incremental decreases in the number of years before forgiveness and so are their parents.
If the conservatives and the GOP think anyone on the left votes rationally, they are deluded. They vote tribally. They vote against *the other*. They vote in *solidarity*.
The only way for the anti-leftists to win is to adopt the same tribalism and to not ever sit home because the nominee is not to their liking.
If the choice is 4 years of Romney or a 4-year double-down by zer0 followed by an Emmanuel administration and you think there is no difference, then, hopefully, you are prepared for living through the outcome.
IMO, we have passed the point where principled people can make a difference on our side. The opposition has no principles except to win, so they likely will.
Amen.
Secondary reasons are the nominating history of the Republican Party and the efforts that the main stream media will make to keep him in office.
I just don’t understand our republican establishment in supporting mitt romney ! If we have a clear conservative candidate and we all fall behind him, we can just defeat Obama in a land slide. Instead, each of these primary candidates are just beating one another. Look what they did with Rick perry. Michelle Bachmann could not wait to destroy Rick in the first & second debate, screwing up Rick perry chance and Michelle Bachmann chance. So, they both were out
Now, everyone is piling up on Hermann Cain(people like karl rove should be ashamed) and mitt romney goes to ohio and flip flops like a stupid person.
In the meanwhile Rick sanatorum with all his experience is just there and nobody gives even a look at him. Gingrich is a great intellectual and he is doing en excellent job but he has baggage.
We don’t have to talk about Paul or Huntsmann
So, what are we supposed to do?
Wait for the Vice president candidate to save the day?
Is it Bobby Jindaal or Marco Rubio or paul Ryan?
Needs to be one of them. My preference will be Marco Rubio !
BINGO!!
Republicans gave him a $2.4T slush fund by raising the debt ceiling.
Of that money we don’t have but he’s authorized to spend, and he will spend it long before the election, he needs a mere 0.05% of it to find its way back to his election fund to give him a $1B war chest.
As such, he’s busy buying votes with executive orders using that slush fund, and giving money to supporters who will see to it an innocent fraction thereof finds its way back to his campaign treasury.
And our best option is aligning campaign appearances with his book tour.
So, basically, they think their SLOGANS can win an election?!
Well, maybe they are right, a SLOGAN certainly did last time! And that is damn well all we got for a President is a SLOGAN and a worthless piece of trash.
Exactly right. They have been getting away with it for decades. In order for a Republican to win the presidency, he has to overcome a lying democrat, a lap-dog media and let's not forget voter fraud in all 50 states.
lets trade one stinking lib who hates the country for another who likes it. /s
If we nominate Romney, I am convinced too that Obama wins ... in a landslide.
That took 70 years and it is moot because the nomenkultura just morphed into the crony capitalistic oligarchy. Russia then took near militaristic steps to leverage their oil and gas into a stranglehold on Europe, starting with their own former captive Soviet Socialist Republics.
When the producers go on strike, the elitists simply confiscate their means of production and can do so under the color of *law*....once they change the laws.
The USSR did not vanish, it simply altered its identity.
There might not be an election. If Obambi keeps getting away with ignoring Congress, there will be no need of one.
Obama will be reelected because the conditions that led to his election in the first place have not been reversed.
Republicans and Democrats agree that the purpose of the State is redistribution. How much, and to whom, and under what circumstances, there are disagreements. But no elected officials of either Party believe that it is wrong to take from you and give to another of their own choosing, for reasons that make sense to them.
Republicans and Democrats agree that you have rights - lots of them. They also agree that any question ABOUT your rights, or whether or not something IS a right, should not be decided by a political process because that is divisive. So, they both agree that the voice of the People as contemplated in Articles IX and X can only be voiced by nine unelected life tenure judges, and that five of them, at any time or for any reason, can give new rights and take away old ones, particularly if those old ones arise out of majority voting.
Republicans and Democrats all believe in diversity. They, ignoring completely the results of all social science research on this subject, and contrary to millennia of human experience and wisdom, believe that the more diverse our country, its institutions, and any private entities within her become, the more cohesive and productive we will become.
Republicans and Democrats almost all believe in free trade and immigration. These things are good for various constituencies of both parties while they wreck the economy and the nation.
In order to win elections in Republican districts, the candidates have to pretend that they don’t believe these things. But Obama isn’t pretending.
To paraphrase Harry Truman, “given the choice between a socialist and a socialist, the people will choose the real socialist every time.”
This isn't the run of the mill "lesser of two evils" election. This election is against one evil and if we don't stop it the country will be lost.
I believe that they are counting on the republican Party to win the election for them. After the Republican Convention, if Mitt is the nominee, an obama win will be guranteed.
Zero’s continued occupation of the White House is a strong possibility because of only one thing: Massive Vote Fraud.
End of discussion.
