So, an anti-war protest group was trying to retake a park the police had evicted them from, and by so doing were clearly in violation of the law.
I pray this guy recovers and am grateful for his service...but he is hanging with the wrong people and being used to violate the very oath he took to the constitution.
Jeremiah Wright also served...he was a U.S. Marine...but he went wrong thereafter and now hates America.
Do not know what kind of projectile is was but know it came from the police? It would not be the first time this kind tried to sacrifice one of their own for their cause. Either way, hope he recovers.
Here’s some advice—don’t throw things at cops, and don’t stand next to someone who is throwing things at cops.
I am grateful for his service and I’m sorry he was injured, but he willfully participated in an illegal assembly. He and the others were ordered to disperse and they chose instead to defy the law and continue with their illegal acts. To do this carries some risk and it turned out badly for this man, unfortunately.

Okay My Fellow Freepers, let me ask you all this: At what point does a protest of the government no longer follow the government edicts. For example, we all know that the citizenry has the basic natural right to petition the government for its grievances. When the government ignores the petition for redress-do citizens have the natural right to press the government even further?
I do not agree with OWS at all. They are flailing at the wind. But what about when the Tea Party or the 53%’ers decide to have a protracted protest? When they fail to disperse, should they? Or, should they take the bullets and move this thing to its ultimate conclusion, which is either the citizens win, or the government wins.
I only see one outcome here, and so far it is that the Government wins with its natural road toward fascism/totalitarianism.
