I am not ignoring such research, I am simply ignorant of same.
A cursory sample of google hits shows a vast variety of studies and studied opinions, none of which seem to be conclusive, except, of course, for the agenda-based ones on opposing sides.
The best look at the issue is not through random casting about at Google, but people like NARTH who take the view that gay orientations (habits) can be changed with sufficient insight and will, and that persons in such a situation who want such a change should by all means be accommodated. (http://www.narth.com)
Homosexual researchers have looked and looked and looked and looked for biological evidence that people are born “gay” and they have not been able to find any. None at all. Tons of info on the thread and links. They cannot find an iota of evidence or proof of any kind that supports the “born that way” theory. None.
