First as national security adviser and later as secretary of state, Ms. Rice often argued against the hard-line approach that Mr. Cheney and others advanced. The vice presidents staff was very much of one ultra-hawkish mind, she writes, adding that the most intense confrontation between her and Mr. Cheney came when she argued that terrorism suspects could not be disappeared as in some authoritarian states.
In November 2001, she writes, she went to President George W. Bush upon learning that he had issued an order prepared by the White House counsel, Alberto R. Gonzales, authorizing military commissions without telling her. If this happens again, she told the president, either Al Gonzales or I will have to resign.

NICE PIC!!! And, I agree!
I agree too. And isn’t it MUCH too soon for “tell all” books? I am amazed at the stuff some of these people blurt in print.
Personally, never liked Condi...but it's more personality...
Well, every former top admin official seems to get a publishing contract, but this seems so petty, and I suspect her nose is out of joint since Cheney already wrote about his disagreement with her ideas and so her way of getting a dig back at him. Sad ......
Dittos on Cheney!
I seriously doubt they’d just disappear. Certainly Cheney, or someone, would keep a record of the longitude and latitude where they were last seen.
Never liked Condi: Wrong on abortion, wrong on Israel, wrong on Cheney. Ergo, RINO.
Absolutely! I love Cheney!
Chuck Norris wears Dick Cheney pajamas! :)
I love Dick Cheney, that dude’s got a set.

It isn't gone to happen, no matter how many peace camps, Kumbaaya songs, whirled peas the liberals sing or dance or what any fat a@@ clintons does about it.
About so called global warming: Why is it that foolish people without any scientific learning always swallow the latest fad designed to give even more power to central government. GoreBull warming is a scam perpetrated by con men.
And this so called Republican swallows that bs? And Mr. Bush allowed her to pursue this policy?
Well, it is the Slimes so ... I snipped the essential
news.
Cheney rules.
face it Condi: you were a quota hire.
Yup, she spoke Russian, played the piano and was said to be an expert on USSR. But, she certainly was way over her head on the ME issues, particularly re Iran & the Mullahs’ regime. Don’t forget she was also a registered democrat until 1982. I guess she never really gave up most of her dim political views.
