Thousands of Syrian security forces fanned out Saturday through suburbs of the capital Damascus in search of regime opponents, while five others were killed in raids across the country, activists said.

Syria’s military and internal security forces seem (from all appearances) to be firmly on the side of Bashir Assad.
For all the talk of a possible civil war erupting in Syria, I’m thinking it’d be a short an one-sided civil war.
