Senator Charles Grassley and Congressman Darrell Issa have shifted the focus of their continuing probe into Operation Fast and Furious to the FBI, and on Thursday sent a letter to Director Robert Mueller, seeking specific information about the investigation.
The two Republicans, who have been digging into the scandal for months, immediately made it clear to Mueller they are weary, and wary, of the lack of cooperation their investigation has received.
The murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry on December 14, 2010, is what motivated brave law enforcement agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to risk their careers and blow the whistle on Operation Fast and Furious. The Justice Departments false denials to Congress are what motivated them to speak out and testify publicly. A growing collection of documents and credible testimony has put the lie to those denials. It is in this context and because of this obstruction of our previous inquiries that we are now asking you to provide more than just conclusory statements by your Office of Congressional Affairs regarding the state of the evidence in the investigation of Agent Terrys murder. Sen. Grassley and Rep. Issa
That request includes specific information about the guns recovered at the Terry murder scene, and a third gun that has been discussed in recent weeks because it appears that gun has vanished. There are also questions about the two recovered guns and whether they have been ballistically excluded as the murder weapons, or may have been used to kill Terry.

As Travis McGee has pointed out, corned rats are the most dangerous. Communists have no qualms about killing millions of people for some minor personal gain. We live in very interesting and dangerous times.
“corned rats” should be “cornered rats”
If Robert Mueller doesn’t go full John Dean, he will be sharing a prison cell with Holder.
I think they should be corned when this is all over.
Maybe it was a Freudian slip instead of a typo.
now thats funny, with or with out butter?
Maybe they’ll get a good corning in prison.
With sand and ground glass.
The depth of corruption within and without this administration is unimaginable. It has percolated down to the lowest levels of the bureaucracy. Once sacrosanct departments are now looked upon as hiring halls for the most corrupt and self serving among us. Sometimes I think that the prison population may be more trustworthy.
Translation: "We're finding it more and more difficult to come up with a plausible defense for this disaster."

I'll take the "corned" rats.....if previously electroplated and shellacked afterwards.
He basically said that it was not fun.
AG Holder has obviously shit in his own fox hole by providing easily disproved testimony.
The only thing Liberal politicians and their accomplices fear is exposure. Arrogant Liberals don’t even attempt to cover their corruption; they dare you to expose them and then threaten whomever is exposing them. Thank God Grassley and Issa are not backing down for the sake of our country.
I think you are right about that and I believe that Mueller is very unlikely to fall on his sword for Obama and Holder.
This is good strategy by Issa. As corrupt as the Justice Department certainly is I have to believe that the FBI has at least a grain of honesty left and will 'fess up to their role in this Obama scheme to inflict tighter gun laws on the American people. At this point they should be able to claim that they were just following instructions from Justice to give the OK for known criminals to purchase guns. Justice is the boss after all. If they do so they will keep a fair share of their reputation. If Mueller obfuscates on this issue like Holder is doing then we will see that he and the FBI are, like the Justice Department, just another branch of the Obama Team supporting the cover-up.
A request by Issa for Mueller testimony is not going to go down well with Holder. It will be interesting to see if a subpoena for Mueller is in the works.
This is such fun - watching the worms squirm. Time to up my supply of popcorn.
The lesson from the Clinton corruption in the 90s shows that it’s going to take more than some patriotic congressmen and a concerned populace to hold criminals at the top of out government accountable.
The media WANTED to bust Nixon for Watergate and Reagan for Iran-Contra.
I’m not sure if Foxnews and the internet media can make this any different, because Clinton never really got busted for his crimes.
That farce of an impeachment only made him more popular, sort of like a good-hearted rogue like Jack Sparrow.
Jack Sparrow is not the president now. He’s more like Blackbeard, or see my tagline.
