RUSH: Now, according to reporters on the ground in Libya, Colonel Khadafy's body -- there's one good thing about this guy's death, and that is the tombstone. We're finally gonna find out how he spells it. There are about 120 different versions of the spelling of Khadafy's name. (interruption) Oh, they did? AP's got a story on how he spells it, it's in the stack here? Oh cool, we know that. So we don't have to wait for the tombstone. Fine. Not what I was going to say anyway. That was just a random thought.
According to reporters on the ground in Libya, Colonel Khadafy's body was put on the hood of a car and driven around the town of Misurata yesterday. Some of the rebels even posed with the corpse of Colonel Khadafy. This, ladies and gentlemen, apparently is how democracy works. Well, this is a Democratic movement here. We're told this is the blossoming of democracy here in Libya and this is what happens in a democracy, you put the corpse on the hood of your car and you parade around the capital. (interruption) On the hood of the car he's alive in the first video?
I saw that video yesterday. They hauled him off the back of a pickup truck and then the savagery began. Are you trying to tell me that he's not dead, is that what you're trying to tell me? You're trying to tell me that you're not convinced he's dead yet. And the only reason you're thinking that's because we haven't had the official confirmation from Calypso Louie. Farrakhan has not issued a statement. Now, Hugo Chavez has. Hugo Chavez called him a martyr. Hugo Chavez says its' a bad move. But Calypso Louie has not said anything. The regime, the Obama bunch has told us that this is an outbreak of democracy, so I guess we have to add that to the definitions. You're vanquished, you get put on the hood of a car and paraded around town.

Could this be the Moose counterpart to riding the rogue out of town on a rail, or tar-and-feathering? Not that I’m all that fond of Moose philosophy, but seems that white bread folks on FR have from time to time expressed analogous sentiments about notoriously bad politicians.
That is kinda the way Italian Democracy got started.
So if the Libyan experiment turns out half as well as that then it is a success.
The OWS idiots have not idea what a “democracy” is.
Note to self:
Deer hunting season....
I have no problem at all with them killing and then disposing of that terrorist piece of camel turd in the manner they did. Formal trials aren’t always necessary for justice to be served. Case in point — Mussolini.
Isn’t khadafy a muslim? If so, then I assume he’ll be buried within 24 hours the way we had to do it with bin laden?
Theyve had free education, free health, they could study abroad. When they got married they got a certain amount of money. So they were rather the envy of many other citizens of African countries. Now, of course, since NATOs humanitarian intervention the infrastructure of their country has been bombed back to the Stone Age. They will not have the same quality of life. Women probably will not have the same degree of emancipation under any new transitional government. The national wealth is probably going to be siphoned off by Western corporations. Perhaps the standard of living in Libya might have been slightly higher than it perhaps is now in America and the UK with the recession, she said.
"What really was the UN & NATO trying to achieve?"
I understand why they felt they ought to do that, show the body so the population knows that Moammar had been killed. Otherwise, they might think it was a hoax or he had escaped.
It seemed to be perfectly within the parameters of islamic law, I didn’t hear any religious objections to it.
So why wasn’t the body of Bin Laden displayed when he was killed?
Great question. I thought that myself. Then again when did Muslims ever follow their “doctrine” when it didn’t work to their advantage?
Try Obama and Clinton for war crimes and give them the same punishment those who dragged Byrd’s body in Texas got.
And Ceauscesceu, and I know I messed the spelling on that.
Filmed him and his wife taking a lead pill
I have no problem at all with what happened to Khadafy either.
But doesn’t anyone see the irony in the attitudes of Obama and Clinton about the use of drone missles in Libya (and elsewhere) and their pretend horror at the Bush administration waterboarding terrorists?
The administration has spent $2 billion dollars in Libya, much of it on missles fired from drones.
Everyone knows that there has been a lot of collataral damage and death resulting from these attacks. The missles have killed many non-combatants. Now we have Hillary saying “We came, we saw, he died”.
How long before Rambo Obama is spiking Khadafy’s head at his campaign stops?
You`ll have to excuse the so called Classical Liberals in here who I thought based their replies on the Enlightenment , natural, common law and plain common sense.
Obama endorsed supported and fought for the new Libyan Govt.Dear Leader stood on the White House lawn yesterday and ENDORSED torture and street executions while in the past has maintained that splashing water in terrorists` faces was an abomination.
Said govt. forces and Obama violated numerous International and American laws combined yesterday and in the past :
1907 Hague IV Annex
1949 Geneva Conventions
18 USC § 2441
War Powers Act
Therefore, Obama and the Libyan Govt. are war criminals .
Thanks Kaslin.

“Is this what Democracy looks like?”
Democracy is Mob Rule so the short answer is “Yes”
It would be a lot more fun if a certain other “One” was the hood ornament ... (but Mussolini is already dead)
TT
Social Justice is swift in Libya.
