Is the Occupy Wall Street movement anti-Semitic?
Signs indicating that have surfaced. Yet when CBS 2′s Tony Aiello surveyed the situation Tuesday he found conflicting signs of both anti-Semitism and Jewish support.
In the half-acre park occupied by the protestors you had to look close, but its there the words Israel evil, literature calling the establishment of Israel a profound injustice, and an invitation to a massive pro-Palestine march planned for next year.
And then there was an Occupy Wall Street supporter who wouldnt give his name, but claimed to teach at the City University of New York.
Oh, lets call it Israeli influence over Wall Street because theyre working on behalf of Israel! the supporter said.
Last week it was even more blatant, as a viral YouTube video showed.
There is a conspiracy in this country in which Jews control the media, finances, a protester said.
The signs and words from the demonstrations have alarmed a conservative group the Emergency Committee for Israel, which released a Web ad calling on politicians to condemn perceived anti-Semitism.
What is happening at the Occupy Wall Street protests? one person said in the ad.
Jews control Wall Street! another is heard saying.
Youre a bum, Jew, added another.
The ad fires back, saying, Hate is not an American value.

“Perceived”?
Thank you! I was just about to say the same thing!
Did CBS say “perceived racism” when talking about the Tea Party?
A shrinking number of people perceive CBS as a legitimate news organization.
The Nazis, along with Barack Hussein Obama, fully support the Wall Street protests.

Perceived??? It’s in your face!
so, no harm; no foul.
I perceive CBS as a faux news agency posing as a defender of anything that is anti America and anti Israel.

I don't think it's fair to characterize the unwashed mini-mass' at the Occupys as antisemitic. It is fair to note that, unlike Tea Party events, when the nutballs show up, and in the case of the occupy folk are given a platform to speak, no one much cares. No one asks them to leave, at least at the couple I've observed. And more importantly, the dem politicians seem unwilling to simply say this isn't representative of our movement, we condemn it. So they lose a couple percent of the unwashed, pro drug, anti-war (dems can't claim that), vegan vote, which doesn't amount to much to begin with. The lie down with flea bitten dog standard should be used, and the dems have found the one most infested dog of a hundred to lie down with.

SJackson, I don't have a TV. Has Fox or anyone been zeroing in on and highlighting the terrible antisemitic vituperation of some of the speakers. When I have seen pictures of the masses they are often carrying signs against Jews. If this is mainly the left, which it is, then if the left doesn't come out against it they need to held accountable. Especially since they have painted the tea party as racist, haters, and dangerous. From what I have seen there seems to be quite a lot of blatant antisemitism with the OWS crowds.
The Democrats according to ABC want to seek to own OWS. If they are seeking to own the OWS movement than they own the ugliness of it's antisemitism.
They continue to go on, without substantiation, about how terrible the tea party is/was. They need to constantly have their noses shoved into the racism of their own movement.

There hasn’t been a lot of coverage that I’ve seen, but i don’t watch a lot of TV. It’s covered in the press. But imo the issue isn’t as much the antisemitism, it’s a small minority of the protestors, rather it’s apparent acceptance by not only the majority, who don’t speak up, but by supporters on the left, ranging as high as the Speaker of the House and the President of the United States. Condemnation of a bigoted minority is an easy thing, unless perhaps you’re concerned of losing the support of a larger “silent minority”.
