Good points, but I think Cain needs to find a better way to express these things to the American public. Your average FReeper is much more attuned and educated to discern the implications of the 999 plan on their own. But the average American voter needs a lot more clarity and simplicity about the impacts. The simple counterarguments hit very hard and Herman is not providing clear answers. Its not good enough to say go to my website and look at the plan. He should tick off points like yours like he does so well when he lists other problems or sets of solutions.

The biggest problem with the sales tax is the constitutionally-protected income tax. Until the 16th Amendment is repealed, the sales tax will be and ADDITIONAL TAX not a replacement tax. The 16th Amendment must be first repealed before a sales tax is created.

They’re making a certain price so why bother to lower it? That’s human nature, more profit to them. And no one can make them lower their prices. See the problem?
