Only 34 percent of current SS beneficiaries pay federal income taxes on any of their Social Security income anyways. How many of them do you think are receiving dividends and capital gains?

Perry will no longer be running by the time of the SC primary, so you have nothing to worry about.

Honestly, none of that matters because 999 will never pass congress.

I believe it DOES matter. It matters to me as a fiscal conservative, and I believe it will matter to ANY Tea Party member who does not want a politician that wants to expand federal government entitlements and give even more federal benefits to low income families living in those empowerment zones.

Fiscal conservatives should rise up AGAINST those liberal tax and spend gimmicks and against expanded federal welfare programs where the federal government picks and chooses winners...

... or have conservatives left that area of the arena these days to gather around someone they just like?

Those supporting Cain had better stand up NOW and tell him you don't want those federal enterprise zones and empowerment zones in his 999 plan! We have gone too far to let us get lost in social engineering programs again! Tell him NO to those additions BEFORE we let him keep going with them or we have lost a lot of respect as the fiscally conservative Tea Pary for sure.

fixed income social security earner types would be hit harder by the 999 plan than anyone else.

Did you make this up?

Cain said today that SS recipients pay no tax on their benefits because, "...they already paid it."

Cain’s 9-9-9 plans shed light on just how complex the current tax code is. Finally, we the people are having a robust debate tax reform.

The Libs in SF are becoming totally unhinged.

If you think they went hard after Palin, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

They are displaying their blatant racism, calling Cain a “Token” Black to try to prove that the GOP isn’t racist, that Cain is crazy (where have we heard that before?) that he would never carry the “racist” South, etc...

Oh, and they’re not scared of Cain, just like they weren’t scared of Palin either, yet they are expending a massive amount of energy and crazy theories as to why he is the leading GOP candidate.

They say his 9-9-9 plan will break the backs of the poor, of which 47% don’t pay any Fed taxes and that Cain is the Koch Bros. “Boy” and that they are using him.

They’ve become totally unhinged - the polls are fake, Cain doesn’t understand his tax plan (despite the fact he has a degree in Math, Physics and Computer Science) they continue to refer to him as a “Pizza Boy” and the name “Godfather’s” is a slur against Italians.

They think Obama and his 38% job approval rating is going to have a cakewalk over Cain, who has a record of creating jobs and turning failing franchises into successful ones, which, BTW, contribute to the Obesity epidemic.

I guess the Libs have to blame someone for making unhealthy food choices.

After all, we’re not all svelte like Blackie O, who is flying around the country on our dime promoting healthy eating while she pushes 300 lbs.

No, it’s Herman Cain’s fault for pushing Coke, BK, and Pizza on our youth.

These people are insane.

I said they would “Palinize” Cain worse than Palin and I’ve been right.

The left claims that they weren’t afraid of Palin, and that their not afraid of Cain, yet they are spending a lot of time attacking Cain now that Palin has decided not to run.

Coincidentally, the local SF papers have stopped running Palin articles since she decided not to run, and are now running numerous Cain articles, claiming all kinds of wild accusations, as mentioned above.

And of course, it’s OK for Libs like Sean Penn to call the TP racists because they are critical of Obama’s policies, but can’t comprehend how a Black man is the leading GOP candidate.

Like I said, these people have become completely unhinged.

They are going to spend the next year going after Cain, calling him “crazy” despite the fact that he, like Palin, is a self-made success.

The thought of a woman, let alone a Black man becoming successful without the help of the Government and being a member of the Tea Party is just too much for their little brains to comprehend.

They are basically babbling incoherent, nonsensical gibberish, claiming the GOP is trying to hide their racism by supporting a Black man.

Lib logic at it’s finest.

I’m telling you, if you think the attacks on Palin were over the top, the attacks on Cain will seem like compliments to Palin in comparison to the forthcoming hit pieces on Cain.

These people are proving that they are insane.

I’ll post this again for all. Those on the Cain train feel free to use this link as proof to counter the 9% sales tax argument.

Cain stated on Huckabee Saturday that Social Security would not count as income tax and there would be no tax on any savings plans including 401k’s.

As for the price of goods and services here you go.

Examples of How Taxes are Hidden in the Price of Goods

Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) has calculated several examples of how taxes affect the purchase price of several goods and services. The ATR figures include the impact of all taxes — not just certain hidden taxes — on prices. According to ATR:

• Taxes account for 35 cents of the cost of a $1.14 loaf of bread.

• 18 cents of a 50-cent can of soda go toward taxes.

• 72 percent of the cost of a 750-ml bottle of liquor goes toward taxes.

• Taxes for an $80 hotel room average 43 percent.

• Taxes account for $63.60 of a $159 airline ticket.

• A $153.09 monthly utility bill consists of $39.35 in taxes.

• Over half the cost of a $1.33 gallon of gasoline is due to taxes.22

A 1992 Cato Institute study looked at taxes somewhat differently, calculating how much someone needed to earn to have enough after-tax dollars to purchase several products. The study concluded that a typical worker needed to earn $17,038 to buy a $10,000 car, and $2,556 to purchase a $1,500 computer.

Now look at the cost of that $10,000 car with the 999 plan.
10,000 multiplied by .09 (Business tax)+.09 (Sales Tax)= 10,000 multiplied by .18= $11,800

$11,800 Cains 999 plan
$17,038 current plan

You tell me which one is better.

http://www.ipi.org/ipi%5CIPIPublications.nsf/PublicationLookupFullText/A9A7AA39F78128BB86256AB700627702

So a retiree would only pay for the 9% sales tax compared to the hidden 22% average they pay now.

If you read that link you will see how prices of goods and services will come down due to less taxes and the free market.

As far as the empowerment zone thing there are not enough details yet to evaluate it. When more details come out we can debate that issue.

“Cain said on Huckabee that seniors would be exempt from paying taxes “ I watched it and I don’t think he said that, nor the rest about exemptions. We better watch that video again."

I watched it while you were out to lunch. Cain said it---no taxes on SS benefits.

>I can’t wait to see Cain and Obama debate.<

You kidding me? Odumbo cannot function w/o a teleprompter and what do we get?

—57 states, Lincoln was the founder of the GOP, the intercontinental railroad, 10,000 died in the Kansas tornado,, corpse-men...

No one has ever seen his college transcripts and got into Harvard due to affirmative action. Cain debating odumbo is like Einstein EXPLAINING e=mc2 to a caveman.

My guess is, Cain won’t carry the AARP by making food cost more for old people so millionaires can get a tax break.

Plenty of them are receiving dividends and cap gains...BTW, you better hope when you retire that you are getting these income streams...if not you better start saving so you do...

So, tell me, where is all of Cain’s campaign structure and organization? He has set up absolutely NO Caucus or Primary campaign plans yet. Remember, the Primaries are just a little over 2 months away and Cain has made little to no plans what so ever.

the vast majority of SS security recipients don’t pay any taxes on their social security benefits already. They do buy groceries and medicine and medical services though and those are all immediately going to cost 9% more once the sales tax goes into effect.

“Question is what will it mean and I maintain that it splits the anti-Romney vote, making way for Romney.

“Just the same way Fred Thompson split the vote and cleared the way for McCain.”

Times have changed. At this point, it’s Perry that’s splitting the conservative vote for Romney, not Cain.

Seriously, if the Perry people threw in for Cain, Romney would be toast.

You’re believing the media, right?

Perhaps you should watch this video from Arlington, VA, where a volunteer from his campaign says they got close to 10,000 new volunteers within the last 24 hours.
