So then what you are saying is that the govt. can afford the tax breaks it gives to wage earners in this bracket? How so?If we don’t all chip in how does the debt disappear for our kids?

I don't see how it is going to under Cain. He himself has said that his plan is revenue neutral. Other's have estimated that it'll generate about $2.10 trillion under ideal circumstances. In either case, under current spending that leaves us with a $1.3 trillion to $1.7 trillion deficit. And I've heard no specifics from Cain on how he's going to get rid of that.

Elijah Cummings, D-Md. Trying very hard to protect AG.

Boy I'll say. I'd venture that every clearly spoken word out of his mouth was a lie.

"IOW, I'm a ripper, not a tugger"

"Let'r Rip", hey that's my motto!

We have to concentrate heavily on state elections to make sure we get the most TEA party candidates elected to both houses of congress as possible so that if Zero should, per chance, get reelected we can shut him down. Just shut him down with one investigation after another into those illegal acts of his and his administration.

As to Romney, if he is the one that wins the nomination, I'll write in Sarah's name and I know saying that will blow a number of FR members minds but that's the way it is with me. A mostly TEA Party congress will also severely restrict as to what a Romney administration can and can't do.

Good post Morgan.

In case anyone here has forgotten the dems will say anything about anyone in search of traction on anything about anyone and hope their cohorts at the DBM will repeat the lies. Its about all they have at this point.

"Why the heck though do they keep bringing on that dingbat Kattey Kay?"

To a liberal, she's brilliant.

We should be screaming that this is the tiresome "fair share" the RATs are always talking about.

I think right now we are not yet at that point. We still have the right to nominate and support the most conservative candidate right now. That's what primaries are for picking candidates. If things change after we pick than we may want to reevaluate whom we support, why and when.

Sounds like we have a lot in common.

one could say, all of US @ FR believe the same....
love of country's freedoms...not the power to "rule", its lawful citizens

under current spending

Which is the whole point. We are not interested in continuing current spending. 9-9-9 is one part of a multi prong attack to seriously reduce the size and scope of the Fed Government.

Problem is that’s an argument you can make about any tax system. Its why we have k-street. Anything can be changed any time and many know it. It’s why principled candidates really count.

It’s almost comical to watch old media fawn over the Occupy crowd versus how they have treated the Tea Party groups for years now. It’s a stark example showing the MSM biases.

On a side note, I laughed this past week learning the NYT laid off a number of people due to poor sales. I admit to enjoying the continued demise of the NYT.

Hello to two ladies I have respected and enjoyed various levels of communication over the years. Greetings to everyone else this Lord’s Day.

I have LONG avoided getting involved in those “blood & guts” threads. I am on many candidate pings lists. I read the article ... maybe a few comments and I see the venom usually very early.

It rather reminds me of way back when in grade school, the winner of the shouting match was the one who was loudest, rudest and in general a bully.

Most of us with 3 grey matter brain cells to rub together do NOT fall into that.

I am registered as a R. I have many libertarian (note small “L”) leanings and have been active with the tea party.

I stand for a candidate who will be strong on family values; strong on protecting INNOCENT life, strong on upholding AND enforcing the constitution and the laws of the states, strong on protecting mans right to worship without harassment, strong on the right to bear arms, strong on government keeping out of our homes, businesses, bedrooms and schools, strong on reducing the waste and worthless programs in governments, strong on exceptionalism, strong on getting rid of the czars, EPA, UN involvement, strengthening not weakening the military, strong on revamping homeland security and developing a system to secure borders and deport the illegals located and imprison the ones found in illegal activities.. Gitmo comes to mind. A candidate who will not be involved in voter fraud, public lies and manipulation.

I dont care if he/she has political background but they must have the good mind to have a cabinet and other advisers who have experience and know how in the conservative manner.

To compare Cain with Bambi is ridiculous. One loves the country and the other despises it while milking it for his own needs at every turn

I dont want an elected official who wants to make friends, be well liked and compromise their way to disaster.

I will vote for ANY candidate which best has these features. I dont care if they have a D or R after their name. Since I have been involved in politics I have yet to see one with a D and many of the R’s dont carry the whole basket.

The religion is important to me in this way. A deist is desired. They will be able to follow the mentality of military, Constitution etc. Whether that deist calls themselves Christian, Mormon, Jewish etc is secondary. I would prefer a strong Christian with values I find are mine.

Personality is important. Most of us fell in love with Sarah for that reason. Perry might not do well in debates but at the end his personality and ruggedness would be a draw to many.

ANY of the candidates now declared would be a vast improvement. I will vote in general election for any man or woman on our slate.

The common goal as many have pointed out is to rid our country of the Marxist who is bent on destroying our way of life. It may already be too late. I am in survivalist mode right now mentally & starting physically

I bid greetings to all & respect your good minds.. I sometimes however do not like the attacks you do on our FR membership who is also seeking good for the country. Your fellow FReepers are NOT the enemy.

The only hope I see, absent a crash of sorts,is a balanced budget act that requires Congress never to spend more than it takes in. There will be pain at first but down the road it will work and already works in many states.

That's not that great an issue

Actually that is a huge issue. It is why your calculations are so erroneous. You are using a static model. No serious economist does that.

Actions have consequences. Your model refuses to consider any of the impacts of 9-9-9 that do not validate your preconceived opinions.

Truth is Rock other than disavowing our debt there is no pretty way to get out of spending more than we take in.All the ways are tough, none are pretty. We all know what has to be done. Few have the guts to advocate it.
