Again you ignore the 15.9% payroll tax they pay.

We have had this conversation over and over on thread after thread.

How about you accurately calculate the taxes instead of cutting and pasting your inaccurate calculations?

If it eliminates the payroll tax then how is social security funded?

As I have suggested from the moment he entered the campaign to the Perry Camp. Tell us why we should be FOR Perry don't just trash talk everyone else.

Now the Perry camp, after trash talking every other candidate for months, what's to complain about "the dark side of Free Republic"?

As long as the Perry camp insists on running an ad homine attack campaign at everyone else, people are going to respond in kind.

The same way it is now. From the general Fed budget.

Social Security is a giant accounting gimmick. Since 1969 SS trust fund has been borrowed by the Fed Government to hide the real costs of Fed spending.

The Politicians require the SS trust fund be invested in Government Debt. The SS trust fund is a giant IOU. There is nothing there but what is taxed/borrowed to pay it every year.

9-9-9 just eliminates the SS fund accounting gimmick and makes how SS is paid transparent to the tax payers.

The Democrats will be using class warfare, racism, the environment and any other claim they can dream up against us next year. Regardless of who the candidate is. This past week we’ve read over and over that Herman Cain is a racist so there is no limit to what the Democrats are going to use.

Again you ignore the 15.9% payroll tax they pay.

They don't pay 15.9%. Currently they pay 5.56%.

But I'll play along. Say in your perfect world the company passes that 7.65% on to the employee. Salary goes up to $53,287. Income tax goes to $4796. Sales tax goes up another 9% or so. And they're paying $9000 a year in taxes as opposed to, at worst, $6680 or so under the old plan ($49500 * 13.65%). They're still worse off.

How about you accurately calculate the taxes instead of cutting and pasting your inaccurate calculations?

How about you posting your own calculation and let's compare them?

9-9-9 does NOT raise taxes on the lower end. They currently PAY MORE in just payroll taxes.

No they do not.

The person who buys a new car will pay a lot more in federal taxes than the person who buys a used car (9% vs 0)

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering about that. Why would anyone in their right mind buy a new car with its inflated "new car" price, plus the sales tax?

I'm thinking it would largely limit new car purchases to governments, nonprofits and fleet/lease purchases. But it would create a hell of a used car market.

"What stops Congress from raising rates 20-30-40% right now?"

Republicans. If the Democrats had their way, all of the "millionaires", those making over $200,000 per year, would have their taxes raised by AT LEAST that much. There is a very narrow line of defense preventing such an increase.

The point to keep in mind, is if the actual income taxes paid by EVERYONE were DOUBLED tomorrow, there would still be a half trillion dollar deficit. The Democrats would do that in a heart beat, and then still cry for more "taxes on the rich".

The dark side of FreeRepublic is the temper tantrum reactions to anyone who doesn't toe the line vis-a-vis the preferred candidate de jur.

I sooooo agree with you, AB and others that the main focus HAS TO BE the DEFEAT OF OBAMA !!

Maybe you guys have enough pull with some of these FR who need to cool off with attacks on other candidates !!

I, for one, have been totally TURNED OFF by the hard nose comments being made on FR and have AVOIDED the site for sometime and will continue to do so until some sense of who the true enemy is realized !!

If I could vote for McCain against Obama ....I WILL VOTE FOR ANY REPUBLICAN who can get the job done !!

My 2 cents !!

Now go figure in the embedded/hidden taxes.

That's not that great an issue, and hard to determine since corporations can pay anything from 0% to upwards of 35%. But tell me, how much hidden tax should we be calculating?

Given how bad he did in Vietnam, Medicade, Medicare passed under his watch, and borrowing against SSI to fund the war, I am beginning to wonder...

In 20 years who will be the worse President Obama or Johnson.

IMHO Johnson was worse than Carter....

My problem with the Cain plan is the lack of any way to prevent increasing the tax rates

What stops Congress from raising rates 20-30-40% right now?

Nothing at all and I cannot BELIEVE anyone can be so freakin ignorant to not already know this.

"Mikey doing his motor boat impressions again?"

Only when Cantor was interviewed. Mikey was very polite to Di Fi. He never even bothered to ask her what she was going to do about her empty campaign chest caused by a crooked treasurer stealing all the money.

It's interesting that non other than David Axeldork--zeros political brain and no doubt a teleprompter programmer-- will not give administration support to "occupy whatever."

After replying to Christiannnneee about how zeros jobs bill will be taken up in pieces since he knows it was only a campaign ploy to not vote for the entire thing.(talk about projection!)He addressed occupy wall street by saying, "he won't endorse it yet". He's waiting to see what happens. Even Axeldork knows that "occupy whatever/whenever" is nothing but idiots bought and paid for by Soros along with some desperate union thugs trying to disrupt anything/ anywhere and whatever party gets behind them will surely lose their ass in no short order!!

Axel will try to get on both sides(triangulate) or worse yet turf them(occupy whatever) into glory just in case they ever do anything right which is highly doubtful and Axel can already see the handwringing on the wall.Just as he saw the fall and demise of the regime and got out while the getting was good.

Axel then ran Romney down as a "flip flopper" and said Romneny better watch out for Perry(trying to pit the two against one another) since they are the only two that have any bucks(money is all in the rat party) and the rest really don't count.

Axel forgot to mention how zero spends 110% of his time fund raising since they know their only hope is to buy yet another election if they get enough money.

The billion they raise will pale compared to all the billions they siphon off from Solyndras and other bought and paid for ventures(with our money of course).

In the end it won't be enough and the entire regime will go down in flames. This knowledge only one of the reasons axel left some time ago so he wont have to go down as well. Nothing dumb about this SOB.
