Rush Limbaugh: Romney Is Not A Conservative
RCP ^

Posted on 10/13/2011 8:25:04 AM PDT by JosephSmithNAW

The reason is simple: Romney is not a conservative. He's not, folks. You can argue with me all day long on that, but he isn't. -snip- You know that the Republican establishment's trying to nail this down and end it. You know that that's happening, and I know that you don't want that to happen, and neither do I.

Not many are confused about who and who is not a rino, willard and doofus perry are not conservatives. Both want to talk about what the government can do for you. A conservative has plans to do something to the government, MAKE IT SMALLER., and get the welfare illegals out of the country.

Absolutely true; Romney is a statist. Romneycare tells me all I need to know about him.

Americans are wary of Romney.....he is a Moderate who tilts to the left. America wants a Conservative at the helm and these pundits are once again trying to elect our future president...some RINO centrist..Hey! the election is 14 months away...don't let the MSM and pundits left and right tell you who to vote for! E-mail, tweet or whatever and tell time to stuff it....America is for the most Conservative running....No To RINOS!

Cain is the only Conservative in the group, as far as I can tell.

Perry wants amnesty, and that whole Guardasil brought up a nasty side of him that turned me off.

Romney has never found an issue he hasn’t championed both sides of. I wonder how he feels about Cannibalism.

Wish Palin was going to run - but the only one I can cheerfully support is Herman Cain.

Why in God’s name would the Republican Party nominate Romney? Truly STUPID. The nominee will be facing perhaps the weakest President seeking re-election. Obama is not loved by his base. He is a failure. Alienating the conservative base, and putting up a candidate for whom the base has no enthiusiasm is a recipe for disaster—if not electoral than surely in governing. Mitt’s Presidentiality rating may be off the charts. He is the wrong man for the time. I am hoping when the dust settles for a Cain / Gingrich 2012 ticket.

That's exactly why he'll be the Republican candidate. The elites can't let the little people change the establish in DC.

Love the graphic. But seriously, nothing wrong with Rush putting the obvious out there for his 23 million listeners. It gives them cover for preaching it to their friends, families, coworkers, etc., many of whom are doubtless politically naive and really don’t get the angst over Romney. IMHO, as obvious as it is, it cannot be repeated enough. The republican establishment cannot be allowed to get away with another “anointing” without regard to conservative principles.

Rush is spot on as usual. The problem is Perry would probably lose to Obama at this point and Cain’s 9% national sales tax will never happen. In the coming days Cain is going to be taking a lot of heat and we will see if he stays a front runner.

A sales tax WILL eventually happen, maybe not federal but probably global. The only problem, how to keep track of every transaction to buy and sell, hmmm............

This thread demanded the Capt Obvious graphic. We are all way to aware of this dudes history. I did notice yesterday that Rush and Levin really stepped up their denunciations of Mittens. I am wondering if this time around, they are going to support in the Primary? Usually they don’t really, but it looks like Conservatives of all stripes are increasingly worried that Mittens will somehow squeeze into the nomination and needs to be defeated now.

You just answered your own question. See John McCain for predictable outcome.

There are others in the current crew that have valid conservative credentials (most especially Rick Santorum), but Herman Cain is the only one so far to gain traction.

And WHAT a gain in traction! Herman Cain is, as has been noted elsewhere, a quick study, and is not afraid to question “conventional wisdom”. He seems able to present positive steps to correct the present course of things, and is not hampered by trying to be “politically correct”. He lays out a course of action, enumerating the steps necessary to get from here to the point where we should all be, then he delegates the action for those parts he does not take care of personally.

Mr. Cain marshalls his reasoning ability, taking the presented question and dividing it up into its various ramifications, answering each of the parts succinctly and tying it all into the whole response.

What’s not like about the man?

Just remember the term “gravitas”. Then ask yourself, who has it, and who does not.
