I'll bet that in his executive experiences, Cain's had to deal with a lot of egos. I think he could work well with Newt. I'd love to see the look on Reid's face the day Gingrich enters the Senate chamber as ex officio President of the Senate.
No wonder the GOP establishment is coming out with guns loaded against the Tea Party. Cain’s meteoric rise, in large part due to the support of many Tea Party folk, has the GOP scared to death. We always knew where we stood with the GOP establishment, and now it is all out in the open. Can Cain weather the coming storm? I kind of think he cain!
Watch Herman’s speech at the Value Voters summit. He said (paraphrasing) that life begins at conception, no exceptions.
Do not care for democrats.
Remarkably, Cut and Run Paul is nowhere to be found in the top three.....
Take THAT Paulestinians....
Cain/Gingrich
Cain/Bachman
Cain/Santorum
All three combos sound good to me....
That button is screaming funny!
He will win NH no matter what happens...he could murder a woman in cold blood and still win NH.
As long as he loses enough of the rest it will be fine.
Screw National Review and their RINO BS.
Vote for friggin’ Romney if you want to buy that BS.
I’m pretty sure Newt Gingrich is officially listed as a resident of Virginia.
As near as I can tell, the author you linked to is not calling the sales tax a VAT, but is calling the corporate tax a VAT.
He calls is a VAT because Cain’s plan does not allow companies to deduct wages from their gross income prior to that income being taxed.
I’m not sure why that makes a corporate tax a VAT, even though I do think wages are a legitimate business expense and should be deductible from income as a cost of doing business.
Way cool!
Total results:
Cain 29%
Romney 29%
Gingrich 10%
Perry 9%
Paul 5%
Bachmann 4%
Santorum 2%
Huntsman 2%
Other 3%
Undecided 7%
In a two-way race, 43% would prefer Cain and 42% Romney. Cain leads Perry 54% to 29% in a two-man match and Romney leads Perry 54% to 30%.
I happened to catch Bill O’Reilly last night, who keeps saying multiple times per night that Romney’s the nominee and Cain doesn’t have a chance in hell. Last night, Bernie Goldberg told O’Reilly that true blue conservatives do not like Romney. O’Reilly’s response? “That’s a small voting block. There aren’t very many of them.” I think he actually believes that, as do a lot of his ilk. LOL!
Most people who acknowledge that life begins at conception also oppose ending that life via abortion. That is not necessarily the case, though. Does Cain oppose abortion for all reasons or are there exceptions, and if so, what are the exceptions?
9-9-9 is a corporate tax, a sales tax, an income tax AND a VAT tax. And this is who the Taxed Enough Already party supports? Laughable.
I think if you stand close enough to Bill OReilly you can actually hear the ocean...
Not only that, but EVERYONE will have some so-called skin in the game! Maybe the bottom 50% of earners wont be so enthusiastic the next time their government wants to raise the taxes, then.
Good Post!
Yep, can't pull out the ole race card.
They are having a full blown hissy fit.
You and this asshat at NRO calling this a VAT doesn’t make it so.
