SEATTLE -- Should Occupy Seattle protesters have to clean up after themselves? A KIRO 7 overnight news crew shot video of some of the mess left behind in Westlake Park.
City Parks and Recreation crews have spent mornings cleaning up from 11 days of Occupy Seattle demonstrations. Along with rain-soaked signs, KIRO 7 crews counted at least four parks workers taking every sign and piece of tape off the columns at Westlake Park.
The garbage has filled about 75 to 100 large trash bags every morning.

"We are picking up the garbage, we are picking up garbage," one demonstrator said.
We asked where the garbage was being taken.
"Where are we taking it?" the demonstrator said. "I personally don't take it; I just put it in the trash can, so I can't answer that question."
The city says a recycling bin near the protest provided by Seattle Public Utilities keeps getting filled with regular trash.

Isnt one of the “demands” of these idiots being something about the environment?
I’m just loving how all of the hypocrisy of these people is starting to add up. The more they are in front of the cameras, the more like fools they look. They are providing us with so much ammo for 2012.
bummer and I thought this report exciting—thinking they were leaving for good.
I used to work in the offices above the Westlake mall. These things are always fun to watch.
I got an email from my daughter who works in offices a couple blocks east of Westlake park. Her company had warned them that this could disrupt work when the crowd came down from Capital Hill. I think they were thinking of the WTO mess with the anarchists. She said it turned out to be a non-event. There are not very many of them and they are basically just a minor nuisance.
Just one of the reasons of a litany for why I left the Seattle area after making it my home since the 60’s.
On a sad note, after spending a few months in my new home, I kinda feel like I wasted my entire adult life there. It really is a LOT nicer where I am. Not perfect, but idyllic compared to Seattle, at least for my tastes. It is very rural, but I found a place nearby that is Freemont, Capital Hill, the U District, California Avenue and 65th and Roosevelt all rolled into one place, with one exception: The homosexuals are still mostly in the closet. :-D
Marxists are pigs and destroy the environment....although they say they are for the “environment” they lie—just like Al Gore and Billy Ayers.
We all know what a bunch of filthy hypocrites liberals are. They prove it every day. No surprises there.
The city of Seattle allowed scum to wreck the place during WTO. Do you really think they are going to do anything different now?
I walk through Westlake every day.
I’m so sick of the pigs that hang out there.
Someday a real rain will come.....
