First off, shifting more toward a sales tax stimulates business, jobs, and ultimately government revenue. You know, a recovery. People make more money. AND the other taxes drive up costs. Take that drag off businesses, and prices will drop — only question is “when”.

I like the Fair Tax myself. We’d get a “prebate” I think it was — you’d get a check mailed to you in anticipation of spending to offset the tax.

a national sales tax is a boondoggle, which will make the govt set up new regulations and bureaucracy nationwide...this will cost us.

next a national sales tax will be easy for local businesses to eliminate by accepting cash.....as it is done with the state sales taxes now...

let us just stay with a flat income tax for individuals and corporations..
