I don’t see what Iran would gain from this. They would obviously be the culprits and this would be an act of war. They are gaining power in the region every day and don’t need a war to cotinue to do so.

It’s just a new way of Iran showing us and the world that we can be attacked at home at anytime they choose. Plus they feel positive that this administration will not retaliate militarily showing us as being weak, divided and stupid. With Jimmy Carter they used the hostage situation but now they are trying to hit us at home.
