A loose-knit group of demonstrators continued their self-described occupation of the Hennepin County Government Center plaza in downtown Minneapolis Sunday, also taking their message to the road during a couple of impromptu marches.
About 350 people came out for the third day of the OccupyMN protest, an event mirroring others across the country decrying economic inequality, which many blame on the power of Wall Street and the very wealthy.
At about 3 p.m., about 250 participants walked a few blocks to the Metrodome as fans were leaving the Vikings game. A couple of hours later, a smaller group of participants marched along the Nicollet Mall in honor of Troy Davis, the Georgia man executed last month after being convicted 20 years ago for killing a police officer.

The comments section is pretty good, including this one...
"Every spring thousands of people show up at the capitol as tax protesters and government waste, and you barely give them a hundred words. Here we have a handful of freeloaders who have no clue as to what they are protesting and you continue to lavish them with coverage. Think this will sell newspapers and ad space?"
Holding out for a raise?/s
Let them freeze in two weeks. Who cares? I am watching the weather channel on these communists. No one cares. No one is watching. Avert your gaze and go back to football.
In Tampa they lasted about a whole 2 hours.
In the golf world, this is what’s known as “The Silly Season” (Skins games, etc....)
Temps in the 80’s the past six days....they were all home raking leaves.
we need to ridicule these losers - how about an Occupywatch website that makes fun and posts photos on these losers! Just like Attackwatch backfired on Obama we need to go on the offensive - they’re pretty thinskinned and paid to go stand out there...
That, my dear, is an excellent idea.
Best,

How long, I wonder, until law-enforcement officers start being called “pigs” again. I’d recently watched old Adam-12 shows and had forgotten about that until then. You forget the contempt the Bill Ayers types and hippie protesters had for authority. Bet it won’t be long.
We Viking fans were feeling pretty high after the first win this year. Didn’t notice a thing.
Now, they’re supporting convicted cop-killers.....

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I remember the bumper stickers in the early 70s that said: “If you hate cops, next time you need help, call a Hippie”.
Have you seen the threads (from UK news sources, of course) that show the protesters crapping on cop cars in NY???
Well, they DID get one millionth of the US population involved. I’m impressed. /s
Read some of the uninformed lefty comments after the article...
Thansk ButThreeLeftsDo.
Yesterday one of the local TV stations showed some video of some of the protesters in Hartford, CT. They never mentioned a number but after pausing it at the wide shot of the crowd they maybe got 200. It sounded like they were going to protest for the weekend only.
Its probably too cold and too much like work.
In 1991, former State Senator Tom Scott and his Connecticut State Taxpayers’ Association parked 50,000 people on the state capitol lawn at Hartford to protest Lowell Weicker’s ruin the middle class and working folks first ever state income tax. Tom Scott has aerial photos of the crowd to prove its size, knowing that the liberal press/media would lowball attendance figures.
