Interesting lineup:

FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum; Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.

I wonder if Wallace will berate Issa for embarassing poor Obama with Gunwalker?

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel; Reps. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., and Aaron Schock, R-Ill.

Ryan will be good viewing as he does battle with the uber-smarmy David Gregory. Watch for the maggot to wriggle out of Emanuel's nose.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.

Old Bob's really going to have his hands full trying to discredit these two.

THIS WEEK (ABC): House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour.

It's good that they have NaPo on as it will allow us time to watch something else.

STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): 2012 GOP presidential candidates Cain and Representative Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.

SOTU getting an early start on killing Cain, ready with a whole ream of "gotcha questions" looking only to generate some gaffes or flip flops from both of them.

Morning everyone, and thanks again AB for the thread.

Sure enjoyed bray this morning too. He exposes the MSM as to their unholy allegiance to the left.

Be interesting to see if state run media strays from economic matters including discussing the jobs bill, today’s Republicans best be on point, be able to say shut up and let me finish the thought, while media courts counter-minded Democrats

It will be interesting to see if Rhambo still carries water for the regime or if he is now a card carrying member of the Chicago cartel which probably may have split from the regime so they don’t go down with the sinking ship that is the regime if they are smart.

Morning AB, All....

First, bless me God. For this weekend my mother-in-law, the liberal from Massachusetts, is visiting.

Most times, really, she’s a very nice and sweet person. But there are times that come out of nowhere, when she grows horns and becomes evil. I shall give such an example but the most important in terms of this thread below.

Before, thank you AB, for doing this thread, for your steady but fair hand, for your dependability. I shall be signing off after this post as I am singing this morning, then pick up MIL from her hotel, then coming home to entertain her. I’ll try to sign back on.

Politics is one delicate subject around MIL as she was an avid Obama supporter and you can thank her as one amongst many who voted him, who thought he was a very nice, well-spoken black man, who considered his children precious, whose white guilt had her pulling the lever for a communist. There were many arguments those years ago and I avoid any political discussion out of, well respect really. Dear Lord she means well, she mostly doesn’t take her vote for granted, she listens to the news, she watches MSNBC and loves Rachel Maddow. You should smile.

My husband, HER SON, doesn’t show such niceties during his mother’s visit and he will grump about Obama and the Democrats (MIL is NOT a Democrat, she is one of your precious Independents who decide elections, you should sob). For all my political vitriol I just don’t go there around her; husband does not obey any such rule.

For a day and a half I’ve avoid politics save a mention of my duties in the local GOP, a local sheriff issue and such....skirting around the communist in the WH and how I’d like to slap her silly and ask her...HOW’S THAT HOPE AND CHANGE WORKING FOR YA?

“They’ll never pass that health care bill,” she told me back during the debates on that piece of legislation that an 82 year old woman like herself should be listening to. Her son warned her they would be going directly after her but she pooh-poohed it. Since that crap has been jammed down our throats we’ve not discussed it. But I know she had to be upset about it and, turns out, it was.

So we’re riding along, I’m showing her Sussex county landmarks if there are such things. I sigh and tell her how this is just a wonderful place to live. She says it does seem like a nice area.

“I caution,” I said, “Sussex county’s not for everybody. We’re very conservative.” Then I added, softly and just to make a point, not to cause an argument...as I giggled...”We’re not likely to vote for Obama is what I’m saying here.”

“Well I’m not either,” she said from the back sear, firmly, with a hint of anger.

Hey, I got class. I didn’t say I told you so. I didn’t smirk and ask how the hope and change that once so enthralled her failed her.

To my surprise, she bought up the list of republican candidates and asked my opinion. And guess who she really likes?

HERMAN CAIN!!!!!!!

Maybe it’s that white guilt, you should smile.

She likes Romney as well, hey, she’s from Massachusetts. She can’t stand Christie as she thinks he’s nasty. She said she knew we probably didn’t like Huntsman but she kind of liked him.

“Never. He worked for Obama.”

I shushhed my husband who said the above, telling him he was just the ambassador to China. “I don’t want anything to do with anybody who worked for Obama,” curmudgeon husband said. His mother nervously laffed as I artfully steered the discussion back to the Republican slot.

I know it’s only one person folks, but if I had a bunch of money I’d bet it all that the transformation of my MIL is very indicative of the precious independents across the country.

And they’re definitely trending conservative. My MIL is going republican, full throttle.

gotta go, talk at you later.

FOX's Wallace protects Obama giving reasons
for FAST and FURIOUS. Wallace purports
the weapons were tracked.

[(A video from the Congressional hearing)
Tyrant's AG Holder: Heard (only) of FAST and
FURIOUS in last few weeks."]

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.:
People want to know how could it happen
A lot of weapons had been let 'walk'.
(Correcting Wallace): They were not tracked.
Issa begins to explain and is interrupted by Wallace
want to know about the subpoena for Obama/Holder.
Wallace attempts to list possible subpoena issues,
and Issa just plows through.

Issa: What did he know?
Wallace actually acts as Holder's lawyer going through
his comments, explaining, and helping Holder's "push back".

Wallace quotes Holder exactly saying
"I didnt know guns walk".

Issa correcting the RomneyBOT: That is disingenuous on its face.
Months before he said he knew ..
Is he competent? ... Why didn't he know?

Wallace detours from Issa's reasonable complaints
and has slides ready to 'trial balloon' for Holder.
Incredible number. Detailed.

Wallace now deposes Issa.
Issa demurs, points out the bias,
and then answers clearly.

Wallace gets nervous and interrupts and says the opposite.

Wallace: (interrupting) "I have to point out ..."
[Wallace appears possibly deeply knowledgeable
into FAST and FURIOUS, himself]

Wallace continues his deposition of Issa instead
of discussing the obvious impropriety
of Obama/Holder investigating .. HIMSELF!

One of the things I have always DESPISED about these Sunday morning shows are the pandering commercials run by oil companies in which “thoughtful” citizens mourn about the future of the “planet” but are pacified by the front lady voiceover from X Company telling them not to worry, the oil giant is REALLY WORRIED TOO and is in fact working on “alternatives,” a code word for NOTHING THAT REALLY EXISTS but I digress.

I would prefer oil company ads that show smokestacks spewing black bilge into the air and a voiceover that says, “You are only able to drive to work today because of our product. Deal with it.”

Santorum is saying he wants no corporate taxes on manufacturing. IMO he is playing the favorites game. Lower corporate taxes on all companies, not just one sector.

"Mitt Romney's exsanguinating loss to Mr. Cain in the
Midwest Leadership Conference Straw Poll last night,
and Mitt Romney's incredible 3 to 1 devastating loss to Herman Cain in Florida
and Romney's third place hopeless loss to Mr. Cain in the Presidential Straw Poll
of National Federation of Republican Women,
and Romney's loss to Mr. Cain
in the October Newsmax/InsiderAdvantage poll,
all prove once again that by McGinniss and Ailes and Romney and all our dirty tricks,
you can bet on life that here on pimp-Romney 24/7 FOX News
Milt Romney will remain the "leading GOP candidate" forever.
"

Wallace asked Santorum if Mormons were not Christians, and now is flogging the gays in the military issue.

Wallace just pulled a very dirty trick - interjecting a quote against racial integration of the military into the gays in the military debate.

FNS

Wallace is being combative with Santorum.

Santorum is holding up pretty good.

Wallace reads a quote and puts Santorum in a ‘gotcha’ moment. The quote actually refers to racial integration in the military. Wallace tries to equate that with gays in the military.

Now Wallace infers that being gay is a function of their biology. Wallace is trying to equate being gay is the same as being black as both are genetic. He has completely taken this interview away the bigger picture of economics and jobs and spending.

I am no Santorum fan, but I wanted to hear what his vision was for the presidency. I got precious little of that from this interview.
