And for that and many other reasons there is a DEEP distrust of US within the Indian military establishment. Even though India is ordering large numbers of military transport jets and naval surveillance aircrafts, India is still FAR away from putting full faith on any US equipments critical to her security needs. That level of trust is only enjoyed by Russia.

Actually I think the India don’t trust the Russians so much either even since the fiasco over that aircraft carrier. The Indians probably trust the Israelis more these days
