Urge you all to listen all the way through until precious Piper takes the mike! She wanted her Mom to run.
Pinging Sarah Palin's Busy Ping List one final time!
Onyx, thank you—this was a fine interview.
I was wistful listening to it, thinking what might have been.
But I realize she is doing the mosdt important job—building on the success of 2010, and working to create a Conservative and Republican House AND Senate, which will give America a chance to turn the ship of state around.
I also realized that this was a recent decision, not one made weeks or months ago, as some very churlish Freepers last night and today insisted was actually the case, and it very much was family decision.
I’m also glad she squared with Bob and Mike on why she did not announce her decision on their show—she had oother folks to contact first and the story leaked out in our moment to moment news getting out ability, and she had to get ahead of the story.
Onyx, I so enjoyed being on your ping list. I’m sure there will be many more twists and turns in the 2012 election campaign. The “10.3” may yet happen, one never knows.
Best to you, Freeperette Extraordinaire.
A serious question - should a mother or father ask the permission of their children before pursuing something? Should a father ask his children if he can join the military before fighting the WOT? I can understand talking with them and explaining your decision...but to ask permission? And make your decision based upon them granting you permission?
Do you really think anything short of death threats on her family would have stopped her from running?
I do feel bad for you, onyx. You still believe that Palin is something that even she knows she is not.
Thank you so much for keeping this list. I just can’t wait to see what she does next! She always exceeds expectations. And it might be better for her to run when Trig is a little older.

I’m wondering if Sarah would be interested in taking a Cabinet position if she were offered one. Personally, I think she’d be perfect for either Secretary of Energy or Interior. What do you think?
Thanks for the Ping list, all you have done and G_d Bless you both. I am sure we will talk off line or in threads on Palin although this is the last Ping List. Jim, FR is a beacon of liberty for so many, words can't thank you enough for what you created here...
One thing we are neglecting to consider is the man of the household, Todd Palin...Perhaps he wasn't too keen on hanging around the White House in the shadows while Sarah had the role and responsibility of the President...
I would not expect Sarah to give up her marriage to become President...
Unfortunately tho, Sarah will no longer be the face of the Tea Party...No doubt she will become quite insignificant, to me at least...
Bibi over there in Israel must be having a nervous breakdown since the news...Sarah was Israel's only hope for survival...
Now we can continue our race to the bottom...
So what does an army do when it’s general says “screw this I am going home”?
The real reason Sarah Palin is not running is obvious, there aren’t going to be any elections
Onyx, I hope that doesn't mean you will not be pinging us to Sarah's future activities?
That’s interesting about some of her kids voting no this time around. I sure that was a major factor in her decision. It would be with me. I wish Sarah well, and will continue to pray for her.
Thanks for all the Palin pings onyx. I’ve been going through a bit of withdrawal the last few days, so I was glad to get one today. It sounds like we haven’t seen the last of Sarah Palin yet. I am a little more encouraged after listening to this interview.
Our country won’t be able to change for the better until droves of good, honest, conservatives are elected at all levels. And we have to hold their feet to the fire to continue to keep them honest ... power truly does corrupt.
Thank you Onyx, for everything.
Thank you onyx for all your Palin pings.
I’m sure the Palins have very good reasons for this choice. They are people of common sense and dedication. I hope Sarah Palin will stay involved and active in politics for a long time.
America is not done yet. History and literature have shown us that it’s better to go down fighting if one must go down to defeat. They have also shown us how often the course is changed by a small group or one amazing individual. The Revolutionary War was practically won on the strength of Washington’s personality alone. Lincoln’s steadfast and stubborn belief in the Union held the country together. Reagan’s optimism about America encouraged the country and brought it out of its funk.
I’m not going down without a fight. I hope a leader appears.
Thanks for all you have done these many months, onyx, to encourage, enlighten, and enthuse us!
This is just a nostalgia post :-)
