YES! I love you-tube where we can find the originals from American Bandstand and see the kids dancing and the recording artists from their very days!
It’s wonderful to go back in time!

You are most welcome. :-) I’ll try to check in here some tomorrow. Night! :-)

Hopefully, when she comes back, she will be in better control.. That was truly scary :/

I definitely see Piper as a future POTUS...

I don't care to waste any more of my time with you. I have already replied to you and you want to engage in silly hypothesis.
The waste of time was mine in actually thinking you could carry on a logical conversation. I apologize for over-estimating your reasoning abilities.

You can knock off the Alinsky stuff.
What a joke. If you are going to play the "Alinsky" card, at least have a clue of what you are pecking away at on your keyboard, you delusional dimwit.
Soldiers don't generally get their churches burned down, and theirs kids are not generally threatened with rape and murder, just for their efforts to serve.
ABSOLUTELY 1000% INCORRECT! That is EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FOUNDERS OF OUR COUNTRY! Way to make my point!
Ooooooh, that was so "Alinsky" of you! Next time, try not to be so obvious. People might catch on that we're a team. ;-)

She will be an asset to whoever the nominee is because she draws a crowd. She speaks boldly and honestly regardless of the crap heaped at her. She can actually have more influence this way if you think about her ability to influence elections and her fearlessness.
I'm afraid the crowds will wane, perhaps I'm wrong. The words you used to describe her - "boldy", "regardless of the crap heaped at her", "fearlessness" would be absolutely appropriate IF she were running. She's not. And the reason she is giving is because they took a family vote and 2 kids said "no". I'm afraid when she speaks about being "bold", "fearless", etc., it's going to ring somewhat hollow to a LOT of people. A lot of people here on FR are saying we have no right to second-guess her, because we are not "in the battle" like she is. Ok, fair enough, but can't politicians now tell her the same thing - "you have no right to lecture me - you are not in the battle".
To: GLDNGUN
Not once have I heard her “lecture”. She speaks passionately about the things we care about. And she evidently had 6000 people roused and enthusiastic. If you’re a Christian you’ll realize the importance of seeking God’s counsel when you’re making an important decision. The only thing that will determine her influence is her. If she gets out there the same way she has the past three years she’ll get the same enthusiasm she generated before in conservative values and candidates.
There have been times in my life when I thought I knew better than God. I took a different path than He knew I should be on. It was a disaster. We can’t possibly see as far as God so we must have faith that He knows better than us what’s right. Even if you’re extremely upset that she didn’t run try to respect that she didn’t do it to string people along or any other selfish reason (a selfish person wouldn’t put themselves through what she has) but that through prayer and discussions with her family (mostly Todd, I’m sure) she found that another path was better.

If the Father drags the child along with him, then yes.
My family moved around a bit and I got "dragged along". We talked about it, but never did we take a vote and let 1 or 2 kids decide the fate of the entire family. Do you really want Willow Palin deciding who does or does not run for President?
Maybe Dr. Laura was right 3 years ago and Sarah should have not run for VP, but stayed home with her family. At least she'll make Dr. Laura happy this time around.

Not once have I heard her lecture.
What in the world are you talking about? She lectures Obama and wavering Republicans all the time! She threatened to "primary" the new House republicans if they grew weary in the heat of the battle - the battle that she has now bowed out of.
If youre a Christian youll realize the importance of seeking Gods counsel when youre making an important decision.
I do, and I know she mentioned that in her statement, but in the interview she made it sound like it came down to a family vote and 2 kids voted "no", so she's not running. So which is? God told her "no"? Or 2 kids said "no"?
try to respect that she didnt do it to string people along
Bristol said the decision was made over 100 days ago. Why did it take Sarah that long to announce the decision?
To: reasonisfaith
The answer is that Palin should ask for her childrens opinion, and its very simple logic.
If a parent has promised their children to put the family first, their opinion will establish whether or not running for president is consistent with that promise.
You have no argument.
I sure as hell do have an argument, and you better come up with some better reasoning skills.
First of all, asking kids opinions is one thing. Basing your decision on what can and will dramatically affect your life, their lives, and in this case, the country, on their opinion is 2 ENTIRELY different things. THEY ARE CHILDREN!
Who knows what is best for kids? Parents or the kids themselves? Should parents ask their kids if they feel like doing chores or going to school?
You seriously equate "putting family first" with doing whatever the kids want? What, are you a child yourself?!
And please show me the Biblical precedent for letting children decide ANYTHING! much less what a family does or does not do.

Yes but we all want to “lecture” them. She doesn’t lecture to US and speaks about things we’d all like to say to those “representing” us.
Well everything I’ve heard has said she prayed about it a great deal. Since the order of her life is God, family, country and knowing how devout she is, God is most important. Of course she discussed with her family. 2 wanted her to run and 2 didn’t. However, they’ve been raised to understand the importance of service and sacrifice so had her prayerful decision be to run, I’m sure they would’ve accepted it.
I have no idea when Bristol said that. I know months ago she was asked what she was going to do and she said something about “helping her mother get elected”. But Sarah was asked about it and she said no they hadn’t decided and said, “what happens on the boat, stays on the boat.”
I don’t know if you have teenagers but they don’t always know what they’re talking about. Sometimes they hear only what they want. The family could’ve casually been talking about how “cool” it would be if mom were president. Todd and Sarah could simply have been discussing what life would be like if Sarah was president. Heck, she may just have really wanted her mom to run and let her mouth get ahead of her brain.

Are you actually as clueless and stupid as you look like on this thread? If so, please just go away; you contribute nothing of value and continually antagonize those who do...

My family moved around a bit and I got "dragged along". We talked about it, but never did we take a vote and let 1 or 2 kids decide the fate of the entire family. Yes but you were using the metaphor of "war" for what this family had endured. I don't take issue with that metaphor because it's entirely apt. I do take issue with your analogy here comparing "moving" to "war," or more precisely, what this family had to endure and probably would have continued to endure had she decided to run.
You seem like a decent and smart person. You should know your experience wasn't compatible to the Palins.
Do you really want Willow Palin deciding who does or does not run for President?
I don't know which of her family members made what decision. On the Mark Levin show, Sarah said some of her family members wanted her to run and some didn't. She didn't go into detail as to who wanted what.
But in response to your question, instead of asking me, maybe you should be asking the Palin family whether they need anybody elses approval for what they decide what's best for them.
Maybe Dr. Laura was right 3 years ago and Sarah should have not run for VP, but stayed home with her family.
Most people didn't even know who Sarah Palin was when she first ran for Vice President. Her decision then, and her decision now, are based on an entirely different set of assumptions and circumstances. Again, you should be smart enough to realize that. At least she'll make Dr. Laura happy this time around.
Why don't you make me happy and use that brain of yours that God gave you and think before you speak.
