Pleased to be pinged to the thread which I ignored for a while. I may catch up on it or not. I will lay my marker though - that I agree 100% with the content AND the tone of what you posted RE: the Palinistas.
It’s actually discouraging, as much as anything, to see purported conservatives being as empty headed and emotion driven as we say the lefties are.
Running a close second to that is disappointment that debate and discussion seems to be of diminished value here.

Some Freepers came on to this thread, and every other Palin thread, to do nothing but behave like children. If they really cared about their candidate, they would shut their big fat mouths about Palin and support their own candidate. Conservatives do not spend their time gloating over other conservatives disappointments. I'm sure you'd feel the same way if your candidate of choice choose to drop out and Freepers gloated about that.
People can only get themselves zotted through their own behavior. If you have a problem with somebody being zotted I would suggest you take it up with the admin.
I think you should look at yourself and your own behavior before you point your finger at others.
With that, I am done. I'm disappointed that some people I used to admire have behaved the way they have, but life is full of disappointments and I will get over it.

Just because you’ve been around for a long time doesn’t make you superior to someone who hasn’t. You could get zotted too as easily as somebody newer.
Better change that screen name soon; you’ll be like all of the whackadoos who drove around my town with their Kerry/Edwards stickers for four years after they lost.
True to a point; however, the long timers (who are consistantly active) have been showing support for Free Republic, year after year, in a variety of ways -- so there is a little more room for mistakes. It doesn't count for TOO much, of course, but it is there.

Palin supporters have not called me an a-hole, f’ing liar, stupid, and the best from a Cain supporter, a Ron Paul fan. This because I don’t agree with his 999 plan.
I was pointing out that to go after Palin supporters, when Cain and Perry supporters are just as bad, if not worse is hypocritical, something I can’t stand.
If you don’t think Cain has a cult of crazy, then I would suggest that you read some of their threads. I have not seen either you or wardaddy on these threads goading them.
