Well, first let me just say that the novel is by no means meant to build a case against Sarah Palin. However, to the extent that the people around [the fictional vice president] Tara watched in this troubled state of confusion, despair and helplessness as she flailed around that was something I experienced. Palin vacillated between extraordinary highs on the campaign stage she ignited more enthusiasm than our side had seen at any other point to debilitating lows. She was often withdrawn, uncommunicative and incapable of performing even the most basic tasks required of her job as McCain's running mate.
(See the top 10 fiction books of 2010.)
The decision to relocate debate prep from the campaign trail, which is where McCain did his prep, to Sedona, was to isolate her and help her overcome the shock of becoming an overnight celebrity. There certainly were discussions not for long because of the arc the campaign took but certainly there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in.

This is the lowest of low....and from Nicole Wallace no less.
Nicole Wallace is a vile skank. I’d bet my bottom dollar she voted for Obama when she went into the voting booth. She’s a perfect example of a slimeball establishment GOP operative... the kind of human cockroach that needs to be fumigated before the Republican Party will ever merit another vote.
What?
The Republican Party has not been ours for decades!
The GOP should be consigned to 3rd party status...
Because she's anything but "unelectable," and they know it.
TYVM, but I’m not interested in reading or hearing anything this vile McGuiness clone, san the tiny weenie, has to say or write.
I think its finally safe to say the ENTIRE McCain campaign was doomed from the start. They never wanted to win, they were rooting for the other side. When I heard McCain speak at the RNC Convention I yawned, literally yawned..I only voted for that sack of potatoes because of Sarah Palin..meanwhile everyone else on that team was rooting for Obama. Wallace is a RomneyBot, she was pissed that McCain did not pick Romney to be VP..McCain was an absolute MORON for picking Wallace to be on his campaign, for Wallace, it was either Romney gets in or make sure that McCain never wins..its a real shame isnt it, Sarah Palin busted her ass for that man and meanwhile, while she is going to campaign rally after campaign rally trying to win, the rest of those buffoons were campaigning for Obama
The GOP name recognition is negligible for a reason....I am fumin..!
Well said!
I am pissed too but not surprised, the GOP has been the stupid party for a while now..they’d rather destroy their own rather then go after the Dems
... there were discussions about whether, if they were to win, it would be appropriate for her to be sworn in.Quite the remark there.
What most US voters don't well grasp is that a presidential election is radically different from all others. The voters vote for a political party, and the party controls the names that are submitted on the electoral ballots.
Ahhh but onyx unlike mcginniss this will get play....it’s time we take down the Grand ole Pissants!
Does anybody know what FReeper name Nicole Wallace is using?
Yeah but honest....the freepers that attack well they’re just plain idiots but the GOP to this degree....well well that’s a different story.
It’s a line in the sand now.
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
OCCUPY THE GOP!
lol
Where’s that “Not this s**t again” graphic when you need it, lol!?
I always thought it was the media that got Obama elected, I actually take part of that back. Did they have a huge part in it, absolutely..but I never thought I’d actually say this but the GOP was in some way in cahoots to get Obama elected. How can anyone in the history of politics have a campaign as bad as the McCain campaign.
Yeah that was indeed....
Hopefully they know they rekindled the fire in the belly...lol!
